Standard clean OLR rules apply:

  • All Hard Surfaces are track. This includes rumble strips, concrete, cobbles, etc
  • If your lap gets flagged with the Forza Invalidation Indicator: /!\ Your lap may still count as long as it fits the rest of the listed criteria (i.e. two tires were on/above the track when the /!\ indicator came up)
  • However, if you get the Forza Invalidation Indicator: /!\ at the start of your lap, the lap will not count as you may have gained an unfair advantage at the end of the previous lap
  • Rewind MUST be set to OFF
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible

  • Save your replay and keep it safe for at least 6 weeks after the deadline

Submission And Participation:

When you have verified your lap is clean and the best you can do, visit http://frs.atspace.co.uk/submit.
Fill out each field and click Submit at the bottom to complete the process.

This week's time needs to be submitted before June 6th by 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time. This is GMT -8 or -7 depending on daylight savings time.

If you encounter any issues with the submission form or process, please send a PM to Terronium-12 or Jump_Ace.

Feel free to post your best times in this thread. You can compare how you stack up with other participants throughout the week by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard (which can be found here: http://frs.forzaplanet.net). Also note the following:

  • You can submit only ONCE (be sure to give it your best effort)
  • Please give it your best effort as sandbagging is highly frowned upon in the Forza Planet community.

Please refer to this Time Calculator Website to properly add multiple times together (when necessary) before submitting your time.

This is a friendly competition open to drivers of all abilities, so start racing and we'll see you in the results :) 👍

FRS Point System:

We have compiled a point system for the FRS organized by division:Below are some key points on how it works:
  • Divisional Points are as follows:
    1st Place - 8 points
    2nd Place - 7 points
    3rd Place - 6 points
    4th Place - 5 points
    5th Place - 4 points
    Participation - 2 points
  • You get 1 point just for submitting the qualifier run and 2 points just for submitting a time for that week. The better you place for that week, the more points you will receive.
  • Your points will get reset back get 5 points total for being promoted to a higher division.
  • The points will reset every 4 months, completing a 'season'.
  • Once a season ends, the point system will reset back to week 1 using the following week's FRS combo.

Time Verification:

SPECIAL NOTE: When running your qualifier time. Please restart your session every 15 or sooner (10 to 12 laps depending on the track). FM4 will stop recording your replay after (roughly) 15 minutes. Thus, if you run your best lap after it stops recording, it won't count as you can't provide the replay.

Save your replay and keep it at least 6 weeks after submission:

  • Top 1-3 fastest times from each division will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days
  • Failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration
  • Video replays are not accepted (i.e. using camera phone, camcorders, etc.)

Submitting And Verifying A Requested Replay:

If a request is made for you to supply a replay, look in the results thread for a "(Replay Required)" to appear next to your name and submitted time. You may also get a PM if a replay hasn't been promptly provided.

Many hands make little work and if you can assist the Race Stewards in verifying each others lap times, it won't go unappreciated. Follow The Guide To Managing FM4 Replays to verify another drivers submitted time.

Remember to mark whether the replay was valid or not in the results thread:

- Clean/Valid Lap
rflagnv1.gif
- Dirty/Invalid Lap
bflagtp3.gif
- DQ'd Lap (only used in the results thread by the Race Stewards)

The code to insert a flag is. Remember to wrap them in an Image Tag;

Race Stewards Comments:

Get out there and put the 5 Turbo to the test of time and find out if it's rally intentions are still pure. You'll be running a higher spec than even the Maxi, so be careful in your throttle application.

Tune as much, or as little as you want.

Remember to keep at least two tires on the rumble strip and/or within the white lines on the tarmac. Taking a turn too fast that causes you to go into a run-off, dirt, sand, etc. will invalidate your lap.

Because the FRS is a new series, here is a quick run-down of what you need to do to participate:

  1. Run the Registry Qualifier if you haven't yet, which can be found HERE.
  2. Now load up this week's FRS Car and Track Combo. Drive your best, clean lap(s). Post your results in this thread as you progress throughout the week.
  3. Compare your splits with other participants by visiting the FRS Weekly Splits Leaderboard
  4. When you've done your best, submit your time before the above deadline using FRS Submission Form found HERE.

If you have any questions, please post them in the Registry Discussion Thread.

Terms & Conditions of Participation:

When participating in the FRS, you hereby agree to the following terms & conditions:

  1. You agree to abide by the FP Rules & Guidelines: http://www.forzaplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=911

Good luck. 👍

Since I'm an in-game photog, and you all know the obsessions that come with that, the pictures will be up in a little bit.

Until then, get on the track and start sliding!

EDIT: Just for clarification: S 665 / Without Forza aero. S 672 / With Forza aero.
EDIT 2: Images added.

That sure seems like a lot of Le Car.

EDIT: First try about 5 laps 1:34.706. Might be better after a few more. The way I was sliding on the first few laps the tires heated up nicely. Got a kiss or two from the mountain along the way.

"A kiss or two from the mountain" vastly understates my first experience hahah. No clean time after 8 laps :/ I think tuning for this event is beyond my ability.

This sounds like my kind of event (even with tuning), a hard to control car on a rather high speed track. Nice combo :)

So why the discrepancy with the PI's this week. Is this car essentially fully tuned?

Made a generic tune while expecting the car to be really tail happy and found out it wasn't, it's the worst handling car I've ever driven.

Managed a 1:33.114 with my bad tune, hopefully I can sort out both my driving and the tune during the week. Surprisingly I didn't touch the walls that much despite understeering like a truck.

Hmm, I will have to attempt this sooner rather than later.

I will be posting my final time on Friday this week because I will be out of town from Saturday until next Friday. :D

T-12, I was checking for a tune on your storefront and noticed you had a replay for W11 on your storefront. 1:02.983 on lap 7 clean. Then checking the results thread for W11, I couldn't find your submission :banghead: Nice driving either way.

Yeah.

1. I completely forgot to officially submit the time.
2. Brian left me out. So, I'll have a chat with him.

Possibly take him out back and, you know, shoot him.

It's hard trying to find the time to lay down really good laps, but I'm getting better at finding the time. I really don't want to be that guy who doesn't partake in his own work.

Ok, thanks. I swear I combed the Week 11 thread and didn't see any posts from you in there. Unless you went straight to the LB and added your time directly, I could very easily have missed it in that case. Either way I'll drop it :P

I did go straight to the LB. Should have made a note of that.

Eh, brainfart.

EDIT: Oh! I'll get started on that tune since I have the time. :D

This track, the whole set of 6 tracks, is just awful.

Submitted my time of 1:35.852 and posted the replay since I will be gone until next Friday. I will be honest and say I only gave it 2 laps each time I ran.

This is probably my worst week but this combo is by far my least favorite. Maybe we can do another week where we don't completely max out a car when we tune it. We shall see.

I really like the tune you posted, Fog. Got a 1:34.078 out of it, which will probably be the best I can do this week. Edit - nope, did almost a second better on my next try. Time submitted. Again, great tune, thanks!

Finally got a pretty good tune together after I don't know how many hours.

Will be up on my SF shortly.

I keep meaning to try this one again but somehow end up on either Dirt 3 or GT Academy, must put a note on my TV reminding me my time needs improving. I'll make sure to try out other peoples tunes because mine's a bit understeery.
