hahaha glad to hear you guys will have some more free time. I've improved to 1:55.232 but honestly a little concerned about how much more time is in me.

Am I the only wheel user
No. Hopefully I'm getting one soon, Fanatec stuff is so much :/

Leaderboard updated. You shouldn't be demoted unless you get consistently poor results for your division

I still have yet to run this race again but I know I have to in order to prevent another last-place finish.

It is interesting that I really feel unable to make up much time with my laps. I am considering downloading someones ghost or turn on some assists but I am being stubborn and want to complete this on my own.

Posted a 1:56.801 using the form. Replay is on my storefront. Lap 5.

No hard feelings if I'm demoted to a lower division. :)

The way things are set up, everyone 'should' have run their best effort in the qualifier so you are in the correct division. I would only demote someone if they asked to be put in a lower division (volunteer) in which case I would consider it (unless of course that person would fully dominate the lower division).

As the series grows (hopefully!) we will start to see some dispersion within the divisions and gaps between neighboring drivers will shrink a little.

That is an excellent way to improve your skills imo. You get to see how someone else tackles a set of turns or when they brake. I used to do this all the time when I first started in the WRS in GT4 at GTPlanet until I really got the hang of things. Even then sometimes I'd need some help 👍

Watching other people and what they do during a lap really helps, I still do this now and feel it is beneficial. On GT5 I remember on the Mercedes driving event on the Top Gear test track (the one where David Coulthard drove the SLS AMG in real life and then we got to compete against him) I was about 2.5 seconds off the pace and couldn't improve, by watching some of the replays I managed to work out when to brake and when to start accelerating and managed to close that down to 1.5 seconds with a last day attempt to try and beat my friends. Even watching your own replays is helpful as you can open the telemetry and see where you're losing traction, or get a view on your driving where you don't have to be focused on the upcoming bends and can see what mistakes you make.

I hear you man. I can't get within 0.2 of my best time anymore, let alone improve. Couldn't do it yesterday either! That 1:55.232 I posted this morning is actually a few days old :grumpy:

Still having trouble getting a good clean lap. Closest clean lap is a full second behind my posted time. I did get one lap that was quicker. Not posting time as I think this will most likely be my best. And to avoid frustration, it's time to take a break.

I am glad to get put into a division I spent most of the week trying to get the best lap in I only did 1 10 lap session for week 5 so far and did a 1:54.665
now I can see if I can improve on it this weekend

I set a slightly better lap than my current one and then restarted because I crashed on the next lap and wanted my car to look nice again, I forgot to save the replay and now I can't even get close despite being about 4 car lengths up at the end of sector 1. There is so much more I can do with this car but there are so many nasty corners that mess you up on a good lap.

I managed to improve my time last night to 1.54:457 but it still leaves me 3rd on the leaderboard, it took me an hour to finish just behind my ghost, so iv had to give in to this one now. I need to varify my lap then ill post it in tonight after work.

Again I have left this for the last day and I will have a limited amount of time to dedicate to this (Rangers Playoff Hockey tonight). Hopefully I can record a respectable time.

Yes, the playoffs have been sucking time from everything. It seems like every series but BOS-WAS has gotten nasty over the weekend.

I can't seem to get any better, keep messing up one corner or another to lose time or invalidate the lap.

Iv just posted my official time, i hope im not too late.

I need to correct my time that i posted earlier too because I got tthe numbers mixed up. 1.54.475

^ I just fixed your time but know that the Weekly Splits are only there to gauge who is quick on a particular week. Final submission is the only way to earn points, even if you never appeared on the weekly board!

That's not to discourage you or anyone else from posting times, though. The split board only gets better when more ppl participate :)

You submitted your final lap plenty early btw, no worries there.

I missed the deadline, but only cause I was celebrating Rangers win! Jumping on the next one early so that I don't miss out again.
