!!!! I was watching some replays last night and I think I saw some points where I can improve. The first turn kills me though, If i dont get it exactly perfect than I lose so much time. Same with the very last turn as well.

I had to watch some replays too, but the real problem for me was my build. I had to totally re-build the car a few times before I figured it out. I only ran about 3 laps to get my fast time with the new build.
 
Am I the only one who thinks this is a really easy track? :D So "smooth" somehow... Not Suzuka East smooth, but smooth nonetheless... Didn't have time to try and improve tonight, spent all the time after work building a tv-stand... :P

I also rebuilt my tune a bunch of times. Even tried a FWD setup to see if I can just power through turns without worrying about oversteer but because the PI is much higher while FWD there was less I can do to the car :( The tune I have setup right now is good, but its about 40 hp less than my original setup from Hock and you can really tell on the uphill parts. I set my fastest lap so far with my new setup, but i'm not sure how much more I can get out of it. I think I'm going to settle with the tune I have now though, Its nice and stable but its not the fastest. Atleast with its stability I'll be able to be consistent though.

Its not hard, its just that if i dont find the perfect entry for each turn, than my lap time drops significantly.. and since my car only has 200 hp its harder for me to get around the hills lol. Pft excuse me mr V8 :P

I can think of 4 corners that get me from time to time. It's not as bad now since I've learned the track.

I hardly ever raced on this track before this week, so it took me a while to figure it out. I don't hate it as much now. :lol: I could probably shave off another 3 or 4 tenths with a perfect lap, but perfect laps are rare from me. :(

I love going so fast on this track, all of it is much easier to maneuver compared to other tracks except the last turn, that one is brutal. I realize I picked a terrible car in comparison to the other R2 guys and was really bummed when hennessey switched, cause then at least I could prove that my skills were bad and not blame the car, hehehehehehe!

I was actually using a ghost of a Opel Astra to cut my time down this morning. The ghost's time... 57.3xx


Just looked and me and hennessey have the top 2 Supras on the LB.

Yeah I can't really get a feel for it. I even downloaded a grippy tune bur it's not helping.. Have to say I haven't played much since last race so maybe it's because of that.

Only tip I can give is to hit the apex of each corner as tight as possible but try and hit it as late as possible to allow better angle on exit. That will allow you to get back on the gas at the apex in most cases.

The first right, following left at the bottom of the long hill, and the next 2 more significant lefts are the 4 most important corners. Lots of momentum can be gained or lost there.

The left at the bottom of the long hill I take in 3rd then every other corner is 4th until that last double left which is 3rd. Your car may not be the same but im sure its geared pretty close to mine.
 
I love the left-hander before the uphill, it always surprises me how fast you can take that one because it's a bit cambered, I think. 👍

Your time is safe anyway. I ran about 20 laps this morning but kept making mistakes until I got frustrated and quit. :banghead: I'll try again later, but not sure if I'll be able to improve my time. :(

Thanks for the advice, tried it but this track, I don't like it and I'm getting frustrated more and more everytime I try to get a better time. I'll just wait for the race :D
 
So my time stayed on the leaderboard??...I was worried it didn't. Last night we had a couple tornadoes touch about 5 miles from the house and my internet has been wonky ever since. A matter of fact I tried to log on this morning and have NO internet...
Im at work right now and I have a firewall that dont allow FM.net..So that is probably the time Im going with since I will most likely be on the phone with my ISP when I get off from work.
 
Thats good then, I was sad because I thought it ended on Wednesday. Now I can give it a shot again when I get off work :)
