Free DLC on 3rd of December

I saw the posting on my Facebook, cool that its free and actually sounds like fun.
 
evilfoxhound indicated that this "patch" is supposed to be implemented in December. Does anyone have a link to information provided by EA ?
 
It sounds like I will be playing this game for the first time in a month. Love the addition of some muscle and a Supra.👍

The Team Racing thing makes me:nervous:(I hate how this game encourages over-aggressive driving). I will give it a shot though.
 
Glad to hear people like the idea of the new update. We deliberately chose a lot of the cars that people had emailed me about, complaining they weren't there in the first place.

I just updated NeedforSpeed.com with the new Patch release date. For PS3 it'll be out on November 23rd, 360 and PC on December 1st.

Sweet Can't wait for the patch, now I just have to get my 55" Sony fixed since I just got the 6 blink LED of Death this week. If anyone is interested NFSDrew (PSN) is online on PS3 racing....
 
Patch is Nov 23rd; DLC is 3rd in Europe and 10th in the US. Sony close for THanksgiving so it slows down the release by a week unfortunately.

Yup; I'm part of the NFS game team in Vancouver (and a Sheffield United fan hence the Vancouver Blade:)
 
YES! Awesome selection of cars. This will definately get me playing again, at least long enough to try out all the new cars.

Not to sure about the "team tactics" mode, sounds like something designed to encourage over aggressive racing in a "team" setting, but I'll give it a try.

Very much looking forward to the muscle cars though!
 
OMG sound great cars, especially after the patch and it being free. Team racing could be done very well BUT it looks like its all about knocking the opponents off the track, which to me is the most frustrating thing about other racers online when they do it to me, so to have a team race encouraging it?...well it will just be avoided and only played by young kids if you ask me.

It can't be that hard to improve the contact penalties, including only allowing scraping instead of full raming or forcing others off. Maybe they should allow the host to set the contact level allowed.. full or low, here's hoping!

Totally agree mate, i don't like the idea of encouraging ramming but maybe with both teams comprising of GTP members it could have potential.

It does sound pretty good....

It seems obvious that it's release is intended to help repair some of the bad karma that Shift has generated since it's bug-filled debut, and to lure people back to the game. A good move on their part I think.

I just hope that they'll continue to add cars and tracks over time to keep it interesting. With GT5 coming like a giant steam-roller in a few months, it's this games' only hope of longevity...
 
I can't wait for the Supra. Although it's true the game does has some bugs, it is arguably one of the better NFS iterations in years (the original has yet to be toppled IMO). I hope this is not the last we see as far as downloadable content for shift. IT really is a cool game.
 
Time to buy a wheel/pedals. I bought Shift when it came out but I can't play it. Keyboard is :ouch: Joystick is :ouch: I don't have a gamepad. :ouch:
