Celebrating Honda’s recent unveiling of the 2014 Civic Si and Honda’s presence at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Turn 10 Studios is releasing the Honda Legends Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 5 on Xbox One. This free car pack includes three influential Honda models, including the new 2014 Honda Civic Si and two beloved fan favorites: the 1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen, and the 1994 Honda Prelude Si. All three of these cars represent the excitement and pure driving spirit that embodies Honda cars.

Before you run off and download this latest free addition to Forza Motorsport 5, take a look at the trailer and the details on each of the cars in the pack.

2014 Honda Civic Si

There’s a reason the Honda Civic is one of the world’s most popular cars. Reliability, sure, but there’s also some surprising grunt under the hood of the Civic Si; power that puts it in the upper echelons of entry-level coupes. For 2014, Honda has designed the Civic Si with distinctive, head-turning lines and class-leading performance. Wider front fenders with aggressive arches, a wide grill, and a front bumper with a huge air dam and a molded rear diffuser in the rear. The result is something that looks as fun to drive as it actually is. The Civic Si delivers an exciting driving experience with 205 horsepower and a stiffer suspension hooked up to larger wheels offering more rubber to grip the road with. You don’t have to be young to own a Civic Si, but driving one will inspire youthful smiles every time you turn the key.

1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen

The partnership between Honda and Mugen began with the CRX. It was an inevitable collaboration given that Mugen was formed by Hirotoshi Honda – the son of Honda founder Soichiro Honda – and veteran racer Masao Kimura. The CRX, or CR-X as it is called in Japan, carried an aggressive effort to establish Mugen in the United States. At the time, any Honda dealer could order and sell Mugen parts, and a select few became Mugen Performance Centers. The program only lasted three years, but yielded a handful of uprated Mugen CRXs and many street-tuned Hondas. Dressed in the Mugen body kit, the CRX’s short, stout lines are tastefully enhanced without complicating them. A trademark feature of the Mugen CRX is the twin-pipe muffler or “Silencer Set.” With nearly 120 horsepower, a limited slip differential, and weighing in at a mere 1,800 pounds, the Mugen CRX is a thrill to drive and inspired a new generation of Honda tuners. Mugen has gone on to contribute to Honda’s racing success in Formula One and sports car racing, but it all started here with the CRX.

1994 Honda Prelude Si

The fourth generation of the much-loved Honda Prelude saw the demise of pop-up headlights, but brought new-found performance in the form of the 2.3 H23A1 motor. Delivering the most horsepower yet, the Prelude Si could no longer be classified as a compact car in Japan. With its new luxury classification came other changes to some of the trademark appeal of the Prelude. The Japanese VTEC Si had in in-dash TV as an option, a visionary design when you consider the prerequisite in-dash screens of today’s cars. On the exterior, the rear end was rounded rather than squared off and sat high in comparison to previous models, while the front fascia was wider. Tune up your “Lude” and represent for the Honda fan-boys (and girls) of Forza Motorsport 5.

Download the free pack, then hit the track, or the paint shop, or tuning garage and start enjoying these iconic Hondas right now.

I hate the new SI's, but that CRX looks great. It will probably be the first thing I try out when I get the game. Wish they would have used something better then the Prelude, I always hated that gen coupe. Should have thrown in an Accord Euro-R.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Prelude is actually new to the FM series, no? Interesting choice, surely. That CR-X looks ace, though 👍

I'm beyond hyped to drive that CR-X. It's the closest FM currently has to the Mugen Motel Civic in the GT series (probably one of my favorite cars).

That gen, Yeah. Same goes for that gen CR-X. I also wish they would throw in the 4dr Si or the 4dr Type-R.

I do to. I have an 08 Si and IMO they completely and totally ruined it with the new one; this "redesign" actually makes it look worse. Also, Honda, going from 197hp to 201, and then 205 is not how its done, when most of your competitors are making 240+... I'll take my 8th gen any day of the week over the new one.

This is a good sign from T10, since they give a free DLC, it's an acknowledgement to the fact that the numbers are very low and people feel like they are been milked. I believe GT6 is definitely pushing things with their constant free 1 car DLCs. Competition is never a bad thing!

A good idea would be if they gave along with Nordschleife track, a free dlc car pack relative to the track. This way they could sell their new work on the track and give a gift as a compensation for the past. I am speaking hypothetically of course and I would prefer if Nordschleife comes as a gift, but this idea would be a good alternative :)

That´s the CRX I used to drive when I was 22. Mine wasn´t Mugen, but then again I had the 1.6i DOHC engine instead of the 1.5 :D

I made a (very good!) C class tune and Mugen paint for it, so please check them out ;)

Nope.

It's paid for by Honda, they did the same with Horizon

I also had an 8th gen Si(FG2), and I agree completely. The 8th was the last gen that I liked. Although, the added torque is a nice change from the usual, but they should have done that years ago when the K-series first came out.

The civic Si is just america's answer to the type R which they do not get.

I sure wish we did; the new one is turbo charged, and 276hp (and looks amazing, imo). Below is the prototype but it should look very similar when put into production. I know the arguments from Honda would probably be "no one in the USA would pay $32k for a Civic" but I'm not so sure thats true. If this was available in the states, this would be in the top 2 or 3 new cars on my list.

Oh ok, my bad. This is the Z28.

I was thinking Camaro but yes that SS Sedan is on my list also. I would love that Z/28, I wanted to get a matching white one for my current one but at a price around $62-$70k that isn't happening.

The SS is mid 40's iirc - and few people cross shop a 4 door hatchback with a Mustang.
Sorry meant Camaro SS, easily get them at 32K.

For free DLC it is pretty fine DLC. Just wish and hope more manufacturers start collabs with Forza so we can race more free advertising :)
Yes this would be awesome. Free cars!
I don't care if its only 2-3 cars as long as long as we get to try some new cars.
