Yeah, but can we have Clio tables please?ToCA14 - OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
13 Seasons
278 Races
43 Race winners
128 Drivers
113 Points Scorers.
9 Champions.
Alright. A big announcement. Those around during GT5 & GT6 may recall the ToCA Series, a BTCC tribute that ran for 13 seasons across both games and featured a vast variety of tin-top machinery.
Some fantastic racing running across both games, with the original cars based on in-game Touring Cars from Lexus, Mazda, Honda, BMW. The latter three would become staples of the grid throughout an era of 300hp 1100kg road-car orientated tin-top warfare through the life of GT5 & GT6 - with by season 13's conclusion up to 370hp coming from RH shod 2-3.5 litre monsters, front, rear, and four wheel drive - a selection of retro pics here, which may bring back memories to many of you:

So now it is time, a mere 920 days since the last race of ToCA13 at Brands Hatch GP to announce a new gen of car.
Specs are WIP, testing underway... Introducing the new base specification, sporting regulation highlights, and the first ToCA13 contenders.
Specification:
~ToCA goes back to it's race car roots with the adaptation of it's own regulation set based on PD "Group 4" class, known as "Group 4-T" regulations.
~Cars use engines tuned back to between 300~330hp, with the stripped out cars saving weight wherever possible resulting in them tipping the scales at under 1000kg - the lightest cars in ToCA history and boasting a superior power to weight ratio compared to their GT6 relatives.
~Tyres are specially developed with higher than normal wear rates, ensuring that during a 20-25 minute sprint race tyre management (especially for FWD cars) is critical and in case of longer events even forcing a pit stop. These are as fast, if not faster than the previous gen "NGTC" ToCA cars but make their lap times through completely different ways - with much higher cornering speeds demanding much more precise driving.
Sporting Regulations & Format:
~ToCA is planned to keep it's traditional Saturday night, 7pm to 9.30pm GMT timeslot.
~The traditional three-race format shall be retained for majority of ToCA14 - 8 race weekends, 23 races, and a drop weekend automatically factored in.
~Teams will remain the traditional two-car pairings.
~The Drivers, Jack Sears (Independents), Manufacturers Championships remain unchanged.
~The Teams championship will now also account for single car teams on the grid - if a single car entry doubles to a two-car outfit, the only consequence shall be that driver ceasing scoring in the Jack Sears.
~A 5th championship will be added for the top rookie to the series, named after ex-BTCC and ETCC champion John Whitmore.
~Qualifying will continue to have a "split" with the top 13 in the standings being "locked" into the grid for the weekend, and the final 3 spots decided by pre-qualifying race night.
~Qualifying for the main events will be in the "1-shot Qualifying" format with each driver permitted just the one Qualifying lap for Race #1.
~Reverse grids remain for Races #2 and #3 but Race #2 shall be a Reverse Top 12. Race #3 remains a full Reverse Grid.
~Success Ballast is abolished.
~Points system is currently being overhauled.
The First Contenders....
ToCA14 presents the first three cars in the series.

Renault bring the Megane back to ToCA. A race winning car through @Scaniabebe and @Andil in old ToCA days, with 300hp from the SODEMO engine that has always been one of the strongest on the grid.

Peugeot's RCZ was a race winner built on the back of the old 207, but lacked the development to stay up front despite @Roflwaffle best efforts. A radically overhauled car mechanically and visually will attempt to give the lion a first ToCA title.

Hyundai were one of the last entries to ToCA with the monstrous 3.8 litre Genesis, a proven title contender through @Yeratel84 & @snowgt . Whilst it is the heaviest car at over 1000kg, it's RWD advantage off starts and tyre durability will ensure it is a very strong contender.
More news to come in coming weeks - ToCA14 is expected to land December 2017 and start January 2018.

Who wants to be my Alan Menu?
Wage of half million a season, whiny attitude and generally irritating... @Spurgy 777
You should probably stop selling yourself.Pffft, half a million? I charge more than that.
@Furinkazen The track limits should either be kerb is or isn't track, those pictures you've posted are basically saying "somewhere in between" which makes it wildly up for interpretation depending on the size of the kerb and very hard to judge because you have no clearly defined line to aim for as you do with the inside or outside of the kerb.
You were technically on kerb putting two wheels in grass past kerb at Interlagos...
Your driver ratings are somehow even more **** than the ACO's.
Maybe Furi only paid attention when you were in the Mazda Pig Special?I'm trying figure out how I'm rated as a bronze.

FRL TRACK LIMITS: (Note to be revised again after discussion)
In the first race of the FRL Hankook AUDI SPORT TT CUP at Interlagos my attention was drawn to the track limit usage. This was queried prior to the event and I gave the answer of "two wheels on track, kerb as track". However in light of some perhaps extreme interpretations of the rule I'm going to make this post defining acceptable limits:
CASE #1 - Acceptable
Two wheels on racing track, two wheels on kerb.
CASE # 2 - Acceptable (Just)
Pushing it a little but majority of car is on kerb and close to the actual racing surface.
CASE #3 - Unacceptable
Under wording of last weekends race, this is technically legal as two wheels are on kerb. However, this is not going to be considered legal from now on as majority of the car is across "off" the racing surface. I understand that my wording last race was open to interpretation but this should clear things up.
Which is what two wheels on track with kerb as track means Furi. Depending on the corner you can even have 2 wheel on tarmac and 2 wheels in the grass so I'm not really sure why having wheels in the grass matters.
At the end of the day, there are only 4 logical track limit rules, 4 wheels or two wheels on track with kerbs either being track or off track, you have to pick one of those 4 but your pictures don't seem to correspond with any of them.
So as you can see, your example is somewhere between having 2 wheels on track with kerbs either being track or off track, or rules 2 and 4, and that's just at that corner.
- For 4 wheels on track with kerbs not being track, all your pictures are illegal.
- For 2 wheels on track with kerbs not being track, picture 1 is legal, with 2 and 3 illegal.
- For 4 wheels on track and kerbs are track, picture 1 is barely legal and 2 and 3 are illegal.
- For 2 wheels on track and kerbs are track, pictures 1 and 2 are legal with 3 being barely legal.
Taking the corner we're talking about at Interlagos and using your "close to racing surface" by which I assume you mean tarmac, rule 3 would become the closest set of rules to your example, as you can fit the entire car off the tarmac without touching the grass. But then rules 2 and 4 suddenly becoming quite far away from the track limits you want, with rule 2 having the car no where near off the kerb, and rule 4 being nowhere near on the tarmac.
I'm trying figure out how I'm rated as a bronze.
