It was horrible. Only like 7 cars were in it to the end. The race was overall one of the worst experiences I've had on Gran Turismo.

When we did get a green flag run 1 point we had 5 on lead lap... and 10 would have been it but Joe pitted with engine damage and Jakob lost his fight with old tyres and took a couple with him.

Would've been useful info about 3 days ago.

Eh, it's not like we don't have twice as many points as the closest team to us.

Plux said in Indy Road lobby...

Subject to bonus pts, ECM scored 152, Tiffany 150, and RPM 136.

Dude I can't believe you let Jakob run, pretty brave haha.

Were the main issues people following wrong protocol? Our old issue was our caution procedure was complicated and until we told everyone categorically to read the OP about five times through we had problems.

I got in a wreck with someone in turn 3 on lap 199

Ok, 4 times you hit me under caution.

1. Someone appearing (not confirming) to brake check all time on restarts.
2. Mics cutting out.
3. Cautions called late as a result. However @ranhammerR34 is now helping us and we have a quick message caution code to neautralise the field - "CO PC" (Caution Out, Pits Shut), "PO" (Pits Open), and "LD ~driver name" (Lucky dog, followed by driver name.)

Jakob was fine in racecraft, it was as mentioned above his problem. And he legit qualified in on pace as well.

In terms of cautions, I personally found it very useful to have an actual safety car (which we did for S1 I think?) as it's nice to have a sort of buffer and someone controlling everything on track; not always an option though obviously.

We did have everyone besides me, Joe and Brett (our pace car driver, guessing it'd be Randy in this case) shut up on the mics so us three could clearly communicate instructions to the field without being interrupted, that was the most helpful thing.

I'm going to break my own word here, but I think I'll come back for Motegi (if there's space, of course). As much as I hated some of the racecraft, I still enjoyed the tension of running on an oval. The only bad part was having my joints and muscles lock up from sitting up straight for 3 hours.

I honestly think Motegi be a better race overall, a lot wider track and turns 3, 4 we might have to used some breaks.

And I will try and do a better job of making sure cautions are called quickly. Is it me but the feeds on GT6 for watching the race are not the best or am I going crazy? Anyway, I had a blast, some laughs, and it was one hell of an experience. Now, there will be a review of the replay coming sometime this week.. @Furinkazen, are you going to do it, or do you want me to do it?

So many cautions....I swear we didn't even get a green flag run for more than 8 laps or something like that until after I left. I was honestly expecting better than that.

Pretty meh race. Some seriously crappy driving at times. Not saying I was near perfect or anything. I caused one of the dozen or so huge cautions early, but most everyone had the 2 lap shootout mentality from the get go. The cleanest part of the race came when it was shootout time. When we went to single file restarts, it became a giant accordion with guys not running a consistent pace speed, brake checking/testing, and flat out jumping the restarts

Have a scan through, especially first 100 laps, and PM me.

I was really surprised at the amount of cautions during the race. This is a pretty big race so I was expecting people to stay out of trouble and not crash, but no, someone always crashed within 8 laps of it going green. Quite shocking.

Also my speed on the straights was epic meaning on most restarts I could blast past easily. I mugged Spurgy with barely any draft once and I also managed to get from 4th to 1st after a restart by Turn 3 somehow and another time 5th to 1st in less than 2 laps

Quite a few people had some downforce on to help with tyre wear, that's why you had so much speed :)

Out of curiosity, what was your d/f settings? I had no front d/f and 1 rear d/f point. I could stay in front pretty good the few times I got there before all hell broke loose

I was running min downforce since the start but ride height also makes a massive difference in top speed and lap times.

Before I was doing 41.23x and afterwards I was doing 40.82x on full fuel.

The thing was also pretty good on the tyres. I pitted quite late compared to the others but I actually wanted to do 1 more stint on them before I pitted.

My ride heights were 42 for both I think for the race. I wasn't so nice to the tires though. I could get 15-18 depending on how hard I drove it. I was 40.8s on low fuel, and I had a 40.3 for the fastest lap :)

That was a bloody train wreck. Had a great set up for the car and could not really utilise it.

Crash after crash, people not knowing the rules, overtaking under yellows, pitting when it’s closed, break testing.
Many of the drivers in the FRL have been around long enough so not to drive like complete tossers, so why do you?

Time for @Furinkazen to wield the axe.
Oh dear :ill:
