Not sure it's that great a leveller. Everyone in the same car is a leveller. Cars with different characteristics by default aren't really a leveller in my view.

Very good leveller to be honest as it but more to the driver rather than the set up although gearbox settings were still a huge part.

It removes a variable. Whilst I wouldn't say leveller as the BMW showed how if it has crap settings, it's crap. But it makes it more a driver / car fit. The two have to meld together to do well.

Imo fully custom suspension is really needed for all cars -

How can you tell if someone is using fully custom suspension instead of sports suspension? Camber obviously is noticeable, but everything else? Maybe I'm missing something?

Engine stuff is fine as-is because PP/HP checks can detect that stuff, or sometimes visually on the rev limiter, but you can't do that with most suspension settings.

You can look at ride height and look at replays to analyse handling characteristics of the car.

Ride Height yes, but what about springs and dampers? And anti roll? Little changes have big effects on lap time. Even if a car looked slightly different, how could you tell it wasn't just the driver's line, braking point, or driving style?

And even worse, what if all cars in a team used the same setup?

Don't want to be a w*nker but I think it needs pointing out that this is an issue - you can't rely on trust alone.

You are 100% right. We've had legality issues with other parts and next season might be the last of the "locked" suspension era.

It also makes testing a hell of a lot easier.

Thank god for that... A good setup for this car might just be able to kill the understeer problems!

The Renault really doesn't understeer that badly, it's one of the better chassis in the series. It just takes a steady right foot.

Furi complained that it understeers like a pig when he tested it. Maybe he has a foot made from lead :P
(Speaking of which, the handling isn't that bad in that car, just needs some slight work to help it out a little).

It does have a lot of torque, so you just have to wait till the wheels are a bit straighter before nailing the throttle. I'll just say that it's certainly not slow, especially in T11 spec. ;)

Well we need all the help we can possibly get with the Renaults next Season. Really up for trying to get a title charge! ;)

Hoping I can get some good success in the races that I can make for RPM whilst aiding our championship charge.

Didn't know you'd gone to RPM?! :P
Saying that, HSR will have some exciting news coming up in the next couple of weeks!

Bear in mind, that if the Renault had a better suspension that would make it faster in corners, it would also have to get a severe power cut, because it would be way too powerful otherwise.

Yeah, it would be like the Evoque. That was the fastest T10 car in testing at Brands Indy, but anywhere with a decent straight and it got eaten.

Me, and I'm sure everyone else, would appreciate if you could give us the specs for the cars asap please Furi 👍

He said late next week the thread will be up. Judging from evidence it will be another 5 weeks or so until it's underway.

So when are we expecting T11 to get fully underway?

Probably. I can't spend all time on it, y'know I got other things to do :P

Note of my own, first time in what, 5 seasons no 4WD's been on the grid.
