No you put tape on to reduce the drag you coward noob.
Not necessarily true in some 2 stoke air cooled engines, reducing the fuel/air ratio (adding more air) can cause engines to run at hotter temperatures due to the lack of lubricant (oil) around the piston. Not sure it makes much difference in Rotax due to water cooling, but the top rotax enduro teams run slightly larger jets in the carbs, slightly strange given that it increases fuel usage dramatically. And they also run larger sprockets to keep the revs down, and when taking teeth of we always used to go down on the jetting(reduce fuel/air ratio) to improve response out of the corner and taking into account less fuel needed at top end (less revs). So i guess a larger jet in Rotax (increasing the amount of fuel) does have an effect on the temperature otherwise the enduro teams would run smaller jets to account for less teeth and to improve fuel usage. This had no-where near as big affect on the engine temperature as tape, but it does make a difference (especially in air cooled engines, comer, JICA, Formula A, ICA etc)

So only through @Spurgy 777 did I finally realize the Willow track we were supposed to be racing on was a "narrow, twisty version" so I guess passing up that opportunity is more or less a good thing. Anything that's twisty sounds like a place where Audi is going to get 9 podiums

@Spurgy 777 @rcb929 - whilst a clumsy move from RcB which shoved me and Spurgy off, that in itself caused zero repercussions. Spurgy driving RCB of fdid however. There would have been a time penalty but you two finished so far off having effectively been penalised yourselves in that incident that none will be applied (next car was 20 seconds back - a 20 second penalty for such an incident would be drastic). So a warning in this case, but I will add only reason time penalty was NOT implemented was due to the finishing position.
Also final warning for @chrisjohnson93 @Spurgy 777 . Sort the spoilers out - as in GET THE RIGHT ONE!
