the boards being so quiet you're listed as putting up the ten most recent posts - and one of the threads is one you started about being frustrated about no-one posting.

Hey man, settle!

1,000 posts isn't everything you know! ;)

There, now someone's responded, you can post another 13 times (you're at 987 as I write this), having a conversation with yourself about whether I'm dissing you!

Would you like me to say now that I'm not dissing you, or should I wait?

From someone with 1/10th your number of posts! :D

Ahhh, but at 1000 he can change his member status from Platinum to "homer" or "Mr. Plow" or anything he desires... :D

realizing you've just been de-throned as the 17th Top Poster on GTPlanet!!

Arrrrgg... and I must go to work.

I SHALL BE AVENGED!!

Well, here's one now!

Actually, it was more of a case of wanting to chat last night and no-one was talking.

I could of course have gone to 'How many replies can we get?' but..., well I prefer not to.

That would be because you have a decent human soul, unlike the people who lurk in such vial places ...

Fustration is....
Signing up for Dish network, they call and say that they can't install on the day you wanted, even though you signed up several weeks ago, they finally come, after the install is complete, you no longer have the audio come out in stereo, installer doesn't know because he's new, you call the help line, they say that they will call back in an hour, mean time you figure it out, you call them back 4 hours after they said they'd call you, you hook up a new reciever, get on the roof, open the dish plugin, only to find that there's only 2 plugins, and you're trying to install a third, you call the help line, get switched from person to person over the period of 4 hours, finally get someone that says that they will get the problem fixed and get the parts and installation for free, 2 weeks later the parts are here and the installer comes(last saturday), looks over the install order, then calls his boss, boss says not to do it and that they never got the order to install for free, guy leaves, call the help line, on for 3 hours, finally get some one who knows who this Charley guy is(he was the guy that said we would get the install for free), everything is going to be installed on the 26th, a full month and 2 weeks after we were suppose to get it installed!

That pisses me off a lot

Yeah, technical support can often be very frustrating. I try to be as helpful as possible at work, but sometimes the support crew can be just as frustrated trying to help, as the people receiving the help.

Technology has moved so fast that man power couldn't keep up.

We want everything NOW NOW NOW, but no one wants to do the work. Life would be so much more fulfilling if people would take a little responcibility, get a little educated, and do something for themself.

ordering an R/C car, it's on back order, you wait a month, it comes, open it up, box says "Ready to run", put the battery pack in, put 9v in controller, turn on, battery has no power, get charger out, end has European plug that doesn't work in US outlets, notice that box and insturctions are written in German, find that there is a battery pack that you can put 8 AA batteries in, put them in, hook them up, car goes forward and reverse but isn't turning, take seering apart to look for the problem, put back together after you realize that when you hit right or left on the controller nothing is going inside the car(motor is not on), mom comes home, I talk to her about it, she's pissed, she looks at the papers(still in German), looks at the charger, has me show her that it doesn't turn, she tries, it turns(magical mom to the rescue!), she call the catalog I ordered it from, they say that they messed up, and that they will send the right charger and the English papers, I find that I can use a 7.2 charger, and now I'm happy again.

BTW, I got a 1/12 scale BMW X5, it's all wheel drive, rear suspension, has a detailed interior, and speeds up to 20mph(not now since I'm charging with less power)

The company is German, so you can kinda see why I got the German papers, but they do sell to the US, so I should have gotten the right stuff.

OH well, I get the right stuff this week.

No it hasn't. At least every one in my family is OK. The worst week I've ever had was last year when my mom had blood poisening, and was in the hospital for a week. The doc said that if we waited untill the morning to go to the hospital, she might not have made it:(. We didn't know what was wrong, and we thought that it was stumach flu.

Don't worry, my mom is in the best of health now. :)

I hope I get the new computer this week, that would make everything A OK! :)
