FSR's Legend of the Streets 峠 & Wangan Masters 湾岸 |Discord Link in OP| Touge Season 15 FINALEOpen

@Dusky1103 Hello and welcome to the LOTS thread!
In the future can you edit the information in your first post instead of posting multiple replies? we would appreciate it.

aside from that, that's really cool you investigated his page, I was curious too because there's something special about how his tracks feel to drive on.

I would like to call to everyone's attention the formation of my team the Shomaru Spectres.
I bring this up because I've noticed that the concept of teams in the touge is practically non-existent, and I'd like to propose that we change that.

I am well aware of how LOTS was filled with teams in the past, and how that didn't work the in the intended manner, as teams were inactive. My solution to this problem is we limit the size of teams to 2 to 3 people.

The purpose of me wanting to bring back teams is to revive the competitiveness and intensity of the pre-GT6 LOTS touge. As many will agree, the current LOTS feels like a friends outting, a participation medal ceremony. The competitive and intense nature of LOTS as many would agree is gone. Something is missing from LOTS, and I think this can fill that gap.

If you're on board with my proposal, please tell the community or forum.
I also ask you to share this with as many LOTS participants as you know, spread the word, and hopefully, we can come across a consensus.

Sincerely,
Romeo
Thanks,

Shomaru Spectres

LotS will only be friendly if you let it. I know that I compete with the full intention to win, but practice as friends. Teams don't ever work out because people forget that they even belong to said team. LotS is still going because it consists of people who want to be here. I am, however, in favor of teams. But only if there's at least 5-7 teams.

In other news, who else is bothered by non LotS Members opening lobbies called LOTS Touge, or something like that? I can't be the only one bothered by that.

I like the name Shomaru Spectres, catchy!!

Anyway, It would be interesting to include a team aspect within Lots. Though teams were common, especially pre-GT6, their activities were really outside the operation of Lots. There was GTTC (Gran Turismo Touge Championship) back then that was team-oriented, but doesn't exist anymore due to people falling out. Lots absorbing that layout is an interesting idea.

As for the non-Lots member lobbies, I think that's just people inheriting host status.

Nice to know that I got two people on board already! I'm looking forward to this in the future.

What's the problem if more GT6ers are interested in touge? I don't find anything wrong with that.

Not Touge, LotS Touge. Non member sometimes create lobbies named in LotS, it's pretty easy to tell when it's something like LOTS TOUGE. I just find it annoying a little bit.

I found a legit lobby running the LoTS standard, and the people were cool, but I forgot the PSN names of them. Sometimes, these randoms do download off the GTP Track Database, but run RS tires on a sketchy mountain of sorts.

Yo what do you think of my teams proposal jake?
I'm on board with this, but this does have some ups and downs. After dealing with Exo's deal around the Touge with his team, we may need to test their attitudes to winning or losing. I like team racing and the such, heck. My team is not currently on GT6, so I am a loner at the moment.

Here is how I think we can avoid another team plaguing LoTS as a whole. Try to give them a initiation like a group, instead of one person, but whose already good and is well-known does not have to do this. This will give lee-way if the league is meant for the team or not, and if another team acts similarly like Exo's team, then. Give them at least one warning for the ones in the team who caused a problem. If they do it again, give a suspension around a month to cool things down.

Your proposal is fitting, but we got to avoid getting a bad team like Exo's in the bunch.

Cancerous teams are a problem,
So what I suggest we do is make initiations. But this will lower the amount of players willing to join teams

Bad teams won't be a problem. Pick 6 leaders from LotS that are good people. People like Nesmo, Solid, CG, you, Jake, and myself. Im willing to run and gather two people for my own team if thats what it takes, but there might be others that want to run a team as well. We'll see, spread the word in lobbies that theres three of us trying to start competitive teams. It'll catch on quick, and be sure to pick only the best.

Of course, and picking leaders from LotS is a good idea. It'll ensure that the integrity of a team is solid. Also, thanks for spreading the word around. I can't wait for this to go down.

P.S. Tell me your team name when you make one

Ight i got you

Since you guys started the discussion, I think it would be fair to present my proposal in public.

New Battle Mode!!

Touge Conquest
-At least five teams must participate for it to take place.
-A team can consist of any number (2+), but a team battle cannot exceed 5 vs 5.
-There has to be a designated team leader, and they must be present and battle in all matches.
-*for the sake of simplicity and style accommodation, I think there should be one universal class in this mode to promote diversity.
400hp; 4kg/hp Power to weight ratio limit. Everything else is the same.

How it works...
-The actual battles are no different from the typical 1v1 regarding rules.
-Points awarded to the victor is proportional to the participating number. I.e, 5 vs 5. When a team wins, members of that team get the equivalent of 5 battle victory points. With the losing team, each member gets half of what the winning team gets (winning team=5, losing team=2.5). Note that points are only awarded to those that participated and not the whole team (list members in battle report).
-To keep things from being a slugging match, a team can only challenge the same team twice a month.

Awesome. So stage 2 weight reduction of FR, FF, MR, and RR, Standard weight on 4WD except for hood and windows, 400 HP, 4kg/hp, and no PP Limit?

I would say no pp limit because at those regs the highest pp I've seen is 490pp and the more "faster" cars are more restricted than they would be with pp. Plus, you don't want too many restrictions. They're based on my club regs so I allow full weight reduction (allowed for 4wd as well), but in Lots, it depends on what everyone's say is.

And alright, I'll try and find people. I call Akagi as my home course. No name yet, but I'll figure something out.

Here's my current stance on the legitimacy of teams in LotS:

  • I love the idea of organized teams making a comeback in the league. Even though we never before featured team-centric events, the drivers themselves were active in team activities and organized team battles on their own, which made the whole Touge scene feel that much more special to be a part of.
  • Unfortunately, it serves no purpose to have sanctioned team-oriented activities if there isn't a large enough constituent to cater to.
  • The league itself shouldn't and cannot be responsible for instituting the team organizations. It creates conflicts of interest between the league council, team members, and other members not part of a team.
  • It wouldn't be faithful to LotS' legacy if we made team membership a requirement to join the league, since a lot of drivers prefer to be unincorporated and have a lone wolf approach.
  • If there were enough active teams, the council already had numerous ideas and propositions ready to enact. But first, we need the teams to be already in place.
  • Team activities should be irrespective of performance regulations, that's a whole other topic to discuss at a later time (coming soon).
  • It's your guys' right, so it's up to you, the drivers, to organize, and incorporate into teams so that we at the league have a constituent to serve. We can come up with basic concepts and events, but with your feedback we can tailor the experience into what you guys want.
There are countless elements we can incorporate into the club, and the competitive league side of the organization, to have endless fun and progression, but we need the community to grow and continue growing as it has been recently and for everyone to do their part and be active. This niche hobby if ours can only thrive and expand with your help!
