Ive been trying the Fuji time trail and i was following PolepositionOnes record and he can drive over areas of fuji where i cant, I mean i follow his line exactly and I get a red time????!?!? how does he do it?

This is visible at the first turn where he widens to accelerate earlier... i simply cannot do it, without the time going red.

EDIT by Mod: Stop bumping your own thread. Thanks.

Edit: Sorry :)

He is also a human being just like us. So i am sure you might be doing something wrong :P. But don't follow #1 cause you will never achieve a good time. Use your own driving style, get some tips from the GT Members for driving in pro physics and see how well you do.

Like he said try using your own driving style and follow the racing line which siuts you the best because there are 2 or 3 lines to pick in some fuji corners.
Goodluck, hope to see you in the top.

Yeah but it widens so you can accelerate earlier, therefore faster... thats all.

Have you viewed the top replay from chase view? You'd be surprised just HOW little of the wheels need to be in contact with the rumble strips to count as "clean" with the penalty system.

All the best

The wider line is much longer also. The distance to the next turn isnt that far, so if he takes it extremely wide then that may not be the fastest line. Also, if you keep your foot out of the gas that will help avoid a penalty, even if you go off the track (applies mainly for racing, but can help to salvage a fast lap)

Okay I am going to share something with you guys which I think would help.In the Formula1 car there is a mechanism called engine breaks and the way it works is that when you down shift dont de-accelerate sraight away until the very last moment of de-accelerating and braking. What is does is slow the revs and the engine slows the speed without the need of braking and I have gone through few corners without braking just with downshifting and keeping the throttle fully pressed. In some corners it helps a lot because you don't have to brake just keep the throttle and downshift and it will slow you down enough to smmoth out the corner.

Sorry for my english.

Yes mate. Not just his but all of the top 10 drivers. I am also shocked just like you but when it comes to driving i just use my own line not someone else line. However i do follow which gears they take the corner.

Im glad someone knows what im talking about.. I dont know how they get away with it.

PSN- Trick-R... so you are a fast mofo, right? If my terrible memory serves me correctly, Trick-R is on top of the TT rankings as much as anyone else. This the same guy?? If it is, believe him, lol.
