im not a fanboy
After hitting a brick wall in tuning my ever so much loved viper, i have decided that i want to run more slow cars that turn heads.

What are some slower cars that don't get enough recognition?
Today i was drag racing a TVR Tamora and she was trapping 137 at indy. (not bad for 499bhp, but also 901kg).

Another car that suprised me was the lotus esprit, it gave my supra (without wing) a very good run for its money..

Sure it is good fun to win, but running slower cars could really increase diversity in our sport.

What are some other sleepers?

SambaBus and '66 Beetle. You wouldn't beleive some of the times me and Kenny have pulled with them.

The Honda CR-Z, has blistering acceleration that keeps up with EK's and DC5 from 0-60mph but from 60-120 it is a bit slow and that's why it loses to the other hondas

Sorry I don't post that kind of stuff publicly.

Sorry I didn't know this information was classified and top secret. Can you PM it then? By the way I was talking about "gearbox ratio" not about the secret missiles codes.

I should have said I don't tell anyone lol. I worked hard on it, I'm obviously just not going to give it away.

Many of us spend significant amounts of time tuning our cars in an effort to be tha fastest. The competitiveness is what makes this aspect of racing so much fun. Maybe having a look at this will help you to better understand https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=241597

The Lancia in the ncd is pretty a fun drive, not the fastest, but decent. Also the standard 80's Nissan with the widebody kit-think its a bluebird. And the Caterham. 👍

Caterham spins too much for my liking. I'd rather keep that a track car.

Is 13.94 on 0-400m with the '66 Beetle is a lot slower than your best time with this car?

Mitsubishi i concept '03

700 kilos and 140 hp and its mr. beats most ff's off the line till the 1/8 mile and it handles like a little r/c car. its a pretty neat car.

I know this I a older thread but this car REALLY surprised me.

Just wanted to see what everyone else is getting out of this car. It used to be popular but I hardly ever see it now.

Why, because it's a 5 speed?

It's not hard to tune. I put maybe 30 minutes into it last night and it won't give surpa's and mustangs a run for its money it'll down right take it. What it will give a run for its money is the 66 cobra...that should be an indicator of its potential.

Cuda's, rm challengers, 90 zr1's, rm rx7's, s2000's even the LFA will have a challenge beating this car.

I love the 66 Cobra.

premo esprit has the worst gear lag in the entire game...

Ultimate sleeper: Chrysler 300C '05. Just started tweaking it a bit and have it down to 10.04. I know it will run in the 9's. That's Supra, SVT territory for a 4 door.

So you're saying it will run consistent 9.5s or lower? I've got a badly tuned Cobra that I can run against you to check it out. Also some 9.7s if its not running as fast as the '66.
