Classic 👍

The Aides ones aren't very funny. In fact, the 2nd is quite gross. I don't exactly come on GTP to see a man's bare ass doing a Scorpion.

You guys would be seeing that on billboards in France, thats an anti-aids ad from the French government.

Those are awesome ads. Shock treatment at its best and the message really gets across.

Would you prefer a Playstation3 ad like this:

They are effective ads indeed, but as for 'funny', I'm not so sure. Also, the one of the guy humping the scorpion is beyond the limits of acceptability for this site IMO, and hence I've removed them.

They were in subway stations all across France... even newborns saw them

I'm pretty sure they were posted before, in fact

It didn't say, but it looks like it... ironically, it's from France

Advertising Agency: TBWA/Paris, France

The first thing newborns see is a gigantic close-up of a vagina. I don't especially want to see that on GTP either.

The AUP covers "sexually-suggestive" material, and a pair of naked people up to the naughty-naughty with arthropods hits that mark right between the eyes. Plus man-ass... eeeeew!

We shouldn't have to keep stepping into this thread, reminding people that the AUP applies even in here. We aren't SomethingAwful or B3ta - we have limits. If you think an image is just too funny not to post, host it somewhere (Imageshack), post a link to it and attach a salient warning (partial-nudity, rude wording, whatever) so that those of us who work in schools don't have to see images of women receiving cunnilingus from spiders if we don't want to.

I'll remind folk that a917fan got a ban last week for his continued belief that the rules don't apply in this thread, despite numerous warnings from moderators to all members. Had I seen Omnis's post first, I'd have issued an Infraction on the exact same basis.

Prudes...

I didn't think the ad would be taken that way. I thought it was a hilarious comparison to how disgusting AIDS is. If I photoshopped a pair of shorts on the guy and made the spider look like an OB/GYN, would it be acceptable?

I have a better idea - rather than have us tell you what's fine and what isn't, act like the long-standing member of the site you are and think for yourself whether what you're posting will contravene the Acceptable Use Policy before you post it.

On the other hand, reading back through the thread, it's quite shocking how many times images you have posted have had to be removed by moderators. So maybe it's not such a good idea after all.

Okay. It was late for me last night anyway.

To be fair, however, I've only had relatively few removed compared with my hundreds of contributions to this and the original thread. Sometimes I just forget about the lil' chillen.

Not to mention that even the "emo motivational poster" contained language that was clearly unacceptable in this forum.

Omnis, you've definitely been a member long enough to know you should not post stuff like this, whether it was a billboard in France or not.

Most pics are quite funny 👍

As for the rules. rules are rules i guess and doesnt matter if you agree or not, just have to follow them or face the punishments.
