Honestly, a person on the moon is more impressive than the rest of that. I get the impression that the people who create these memes do not really understand the difference between these events. Also, just historically, part of the reason the US celebrated the moon landing so much is because it demonstrated that the US had "taken the lead" technologically when previously it had been clear that the US was playing catch up.

The Soviet Union's space program was impressive, and they (Russia?) should rightly celebrate that stuff (some of it more than others). But that doesn't mean that the first moon landing was not a great achievement of mankind.

To demonstrate that point, it has not been repeated since Apollo (and couldn't be repeated quickly today). Whereas the rest of that stuff has been lapped many times over.

Having a good friend who is a regular user of those kind of 'enhancment' meds, it hit me right away.
Yeah, what ultimately got the ball rolling to me was the shift to cool tones. "Oh. Oh, okay. Ohhhhhhhh!"

It was one of those times I felt particularly slow on the uptake.

I don't get it.
All English soccer teams

The picture is of Manchester City
Logo is Arsenal
Screen name is Chelsea
Username is Tottenham (not sure if there is any significance to 1882)
Tagline is the motto of Liverpool
Location is the home of Manchester United
Website is Everton.

Manchester City and United are local rivals
Liverpool and Everton are local rivals
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are local rivals.

In addition to that, there are lots of football fans who support their own team and anyone who is playing against Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal (think Yankees or Patriots in the US).
