Other then the fact the US version always appears different from the others, I'm not sure I get what the joke is with the Time Magazines.

It's about the perceived introverted outlook on the world.

Where the mad-tyte JDM Time (Chi-mu) issue?

Besides, everything is perfect in America; since we're already paying for their problems overseas, there's no sense dragging us down with their problems, too.

I don't think it's about our introverted outlook on the world, I think it's more about our political media's cooperation with the government in keeping delicate topics off the air so nobody gets riled up. Keep it in line, folks. Nothing to see here.

Or it could be that Time is just following what their markets want, and apparently Americans are more worried about what's going on in our own land that what's going on in the places we get oil from.

Can't blame Time for making American issues central around domestic problems.

Now for more funneh

Problem is, most times, the foreign problems are bigger than the American issues.

Sure, Americans are going to worry more about American issues. It's only natural. That doesn't mean you have to be blind about bigger issues.

I would like to add, that most Americans aren't.

I know about the world problems right now, but we do have large domestic issues that need to be taken care of first.

How can we exactly help the world when our own house is becoming unruly?

Not saying we shouldn't try to help, but with the way the economy is and the way politics are going, A lot of Americans are more worried about our own problems at the moment.

And I very much doubt my neighbors in my complex care more about Libya than what's going in Wall Street, let alone most Americans.

Back to the funny!

^ Take a look at the U.S. covers again and tell me, do they look like they are talking about large domestic issues?

Yes they do actually, because I actually subscribe to Time. Stuff like the education system, health, and economic outlooks can be found.

I would like to continue this discussion, but that will detract from the funny thread.

I thought it was funny. If I had seen his question, I'd have given him some bad advice on purpose.

Then maybe dropped a real answer a few days later.
