^In a way it already is :(

As a regular Battlefield 3 player this... just sucks. Thanks, EA. [Read the headlines on each]
In all fairness, one article refers to Bad Company & the other to BF3. The BF3 also includes more than just maps, but weapons & other perks to the premium service. So, I'm not seeing the big deal. It's a strategy being used by several developers & people would be insane to believe DICE would just release new maps & weapons on BF3 for free just because they said they wouldn't charge for maps on BC2.

I know charging for DLC is normal but I was kinda hoping that philosophy of theirs would carry over into BF3. Meh.

Your eyes got something in them?

It clearly says in the title. They don't charge for maps on Battlefield.

Which would include BF1-BF3. They are variants of the title.

However this day and age. All the money they are watching MW3 and others make on DLC. Only integrity would of kept them free.

EA and Dice are obviously money hungry and liars.

And the article is clearly referring to Bad Company 2. There is nothing in it that says anything about any other game besides the article title that says Battlefield maps which can easily mean BC2.

Or you could actually read the fine print.

You are not just buying maps. You are buying expansion packs which include game modes, weapons, soldier, & weapon skins in addition to the maps. I'm not reading anything in that first article that quotes DICE as saying, "We don't ever want to charge for all that other stuff, too". You guys are nuttier than squirrel droppings if you honestly expected 5 expansions packs for free just because DICE said 2 years ago they didn't want to charge for maps.

The only thing obvious is another fail attempt to throw EA under the bus for any & everything they do.

From The Asylum, coming soon to a theater straight to DVD $5 bin near you. Crocduck.

Now I don't really give two slits about politics but after watching the news a few nights ago, this pretty much sums up the latest blunder for me:

Condescending lemur is condescending.

I call that a fake. There's no way he walked past a chip sale without grabbing an armful.

He was actually heading to get a pump cart so he could grab the whole skid. The alligator is there so no one steals any of his chips.
