I think they should add qualifying to the game, but that would have to come with evenly matched cars and drivers, meaning they would need to unstupify the AI and make them drive cars that have been tuned to some extent.

A few points I would like to add:
- I'm a big fan of the free roam idea making it's way to the GT series. One day, I would love to see the Shuto Expressway from Tokyo in the game, or something modeled after it. However, I don't see that making it to GT5, probably not even GT6. Keeping the free roam idea in mind though, I would really like PD to give us versions of the tracks (the ones that have multiple configs, like Grand Valley) in the game without all the barriers separating the the different layouts. Coming from a GT5 drifter's point of view, this could open up so many new possibilities, and I don't think it would be that hard for PD to add to GT5, if not GT6 for sure.

- Spoiler deletes!!!!!! I can't believe we're still asking for this. I mean, it's already programmed into the freaking game. Aside from a select few cars, every car in GT5 can have a rear wing of some sort added...and pretty much any car that comes with a stock spoiler has it removed to accommodate the B.A.U.R.W., so why not just give us an option in GT Auto to "remove wing". I won't even be mad if they make me pay 100 cr to do it lol.

- forgot this one...let us put any rim on any car! I never understood why the selection per car was so limited. I understand that IRL some rims might not fit on certain cars...but PD omitted everything to do with customizing wheel and tire dimensions - why add this one aspect that does nothing but limit player choice? And they obviously didn't care about proper fitting wheels on the standard cars, so there again, why limit the selection?

-Hyundai Genesis

-DLC Tracks:
-Ebisu
-Road America
-A free roam wide city "track" with no racing barriers, sort of like a city section of GTA style free roam.

-Updates:
-Better track creator tools.
-More car customizing options (bodykits, rims, livery, etc.)

I got one, how about after we win a Seasonal Event that features a custom track, like the current A-Spec Super GT, how about we are awarded that track as a prize? Some of those custom tracks are great and I would love to drive them again.

along with the aforementioned ideas id really like kaz to improve the audio quality, cuz i find aftermarket exhausts sound volume is well adjusted but the stocks you could barely hear them, especially after putting on the fully custom tranny

* I like to some more Racing Modifications on all the cars in the game, 17 cars to fit with RM is not much

They could also put in the time gap in shifting, as well as animate the handbrake. These things don't happen in a split second with real manual trans or handbrake.
