FWD cars and racing

I can get my Neon fully sideways without the use of a handbrake and I've even spun it in a few corners due to oversteer. It really comes down to how the car is setup. I have a super beefy rear sway bar with stiff springs and struts which promotes oversteer.
Oh you can ask @Beeblebrox237 about that one

For the millionth time it was already starting to go for a month before I even got there.:P

Although yes fwd can oversteer if you throw it in right.;)

Hey!

The first attempt was successful with the two cars behind spinning out trying to keep up.:P
Lol I came flying up with my buddy at the back of the group of cars and all I seen was two cars in the ditch

My emphasis was on FR (in your post), as the first post says RWD and not FR specifically. Also, your original post didn't specify a drivetrain layout.

Shocks
Tires
Brake pads
thank you for the input, and what type of racing would be best?

i'm trying to get into some small scale racing and I already have an '08 dodge nitro SRT all stock but was thinking of doing a trade for an '03 Toyota Corolla manual

SCCA Autocross is a great way to start. And a good place to stay. Or, track days at road courses.
any good locations for this in the northeast NY area? I'm still new to this but am a good driver looking for a good thrill. ps I love going over 100mph on some back roads.

Depending how far up you are, Like Rock Park in Connecticut. Check their website for track day info. https://limerock.com/ About two hour drive from NYC. I drove up there a couple times, when I lived in The Bronx.

New Jersey Motorsport Park https://njmp.com/ Never been there, as it was just built same year I left the USA.

Watkins Glen in the west. https://www.theglen.com/drive-the-glen/ It’s a little past Cornell University. So, about four hours from NYC.

thank you for the advice. But I live about 15 mi south of Watertown NY and those locations are a bit far from where I live.
Since 1951 the CNY Region of SCCA has served a large part of Northern New York State including the greater Syracuse, Utica, and Watertown areas. The region is bordered by the Mohawk-Hudson Region to the east, Southern New York Region to the South, and the Finger Lakes, Glen, and Western New York regions to the west. To the north, the greater Ottawa, Ontario, Canada region is covered by the Motorsports Club of Ottawa, a region of CASC-OR (Canada's amateur racing organization).
