Been a while since I have posted so I apologise if this has been answered already but does anyone know if there will be compatibilities with the two and whether the G27 will work on the PS4, im assuming so but i thought i would ask.

The most anyone can say now is that there is no reason at all to believe that they won't work with GT6.

As far as the PS4 is concerned, the Drive Club developers have suggested that current PS3 wheels with work with that game, so it's likely that it will work with PS4 (or at least on a game-by-game basis like on the PS2).

I was woundering the same thing, and I think if some kind of major change was going to happen in that aspect, it would have been announced on E3, so current wheels will work on PS4 and GT6 as well.

Now that i didn't know, will it be the same price for both consoles do you think/know?

They haven't even said anything for GT6 on PS4 yet. It's uncertain. Judging from the options in the Academy, all Logitech wheels will work along with the Thrustmaster one on PS3 at least.

Nothing would surprise me but I'd bet that every late model wheel will be ok with PS4. Maybe some of the really old ones may not be supported, but the G27/DFGT has to be the most popular in terms of numbers and to not support them would p off millions of gamers and definitely hurt game and console sales to people unwilling to also invest in new driving hardware.

I will be so annoyed if it were not to work, like you said loads of sim fans like myself and im sure you have too, have pumped loads of money into building a setup we enjoy. It would be a real shame if we had to invest once again. I do have a horrible feeling knowing the industry that this could be the case, i can see them making a hefty profit rather than losing out.

The PS3 will, very likely, be much cheaper than a PS4 (at $499 USD I think), because it's older. However, the PS4 will, again, very likely, be many times better than the PS3 👍.

I started with a DFGT and upgraded to a G27 a few months ago. On principle alone, if the G27 was not supported, I wouldn't support a new console or game that didn't support me. It's only $300 but I absolutely detest it when large corporations make decisions along that line, with the sole purpose of forcing what you own into obsolesence. It drives me bonkers:grumpy: With something 10-15 years old I get. Something currently on the market...no.

PS4=$399 USD
Bundle PS3=$299 USD

I felt that way when PD decided to support the TR500 before they properly implemented the G27. Honestly? A newly developed $500+ wheel is a priority that goes first than a $300 wheel a vast amount of people already have? Ridiculous. Later they gave us proper G27 support as a surprise, proving the point of everyone saying that it shoulnd't have been too hard to do in the first place. But, again, it's just PD being PD...
