hey guys watch out for a price drop for these. Just picked one up at bb for 150. I hope this isn't against the rules, but seriously just wanted to share the info. Think they're out of stock as of now, but a chance of them coming back.

Hmm according to Best Buy you can only get them online. Even with my friend who got a a discount on my G27 it was still 215.00 USD out the door. Do you have a picture or some sort as proof? If that's the case then I am gonna see if I can get some of my money back from my purchase.

The deal broke about 1 AM today...I bought one online about 5 AM. Some people are able to get them in stores so you can still try your luck. They are sold out online though.

Now I have to get a racing seat...a ps3...and GT5 - This wheel is more expensive then it looks.

Definitely try in store, I picked up 2 today at mine and there was still an open box there... head to head G27 racing for MSRP of one is a deal!

Naw, but seriously: What are THEY paying for one? Over here in Europe the G27 is still around 350 bucks (260 euros) at least…
Might be a good thing that Best Buy is coming to England this spring…

Try Smoke-tronics online for Canada. I bought a Playseat Evolution from them (happy so far); they have since adjusted their U.S. Canada exchange rate so even closer to U.S price and I saw G27 for $282 Canadian

its not a price drop, its a limited sale and its sold out already. I just got mine not even two weeks ago for $272 including shipping and its well worth full price from my short time with it. It made NFS Shift more enjoyable.

Man, this is just grrrrrreat.

Now there are tons of G27's popping up on ebay, buy one for 220 $, add 150 $ for shipping and you arrive at the same 360 bucks I have to pay in the store around here. Plus an unknown amount I give as present to the customs.



What I really would want to know is WHY are they selling a shipload of G27's for 150 bucks if they don't have to?
Is anyone of you working at BestBuy or its competition, and therefore knows how much THEY pay Logitech for a G27?
How much are they making out of it?

Or are they emptying their shelves because the G27 successor is on the way? Any finds on this, Girls and Boys? I want to know.

Best Buy website says sold out and price listed is $299 - if this was a national sale it was just for a few days.

The absolute cheapest price here in the Netherlands is 280 Euro, which is about 375 Dollar.

Obviously I'm devestated to see it's only 150 Dollar in USA. That's just unethical!

It's a very good question. Best Buy is not known for it's crazy deals. They had no reason to sell the wheel for $150 and there was no mention of it until the deal broke 1AM sunday. The majority of buyers figured it to be a price mistake and best buy would end up canceling the orders, but we all decided to give it a shot anyways. Apparently it's the real deal though. Perhaps they take up too much storage space for the rate they are sold at.

Because it's March and there's still no GT5 to be seen Is there another hot game in the pipeline in the next three months which is worth spending $300 on? Don't think so.

I doubt you'll get any public answers on the other questions, because everyone in a position to answer them would be looking for a new job tomorrow.

But it's safe to assume that even at $150 they'll make hardly any loss, if at all, and they'll have some nice depreciation for their accounting books. win:win I'd say

Seeing you're from Bavaria (that's were I was born) I assume you'd be jumping at a such a deal over here in Europe, too.

BestBuy say on their website they'll open a store this spring in england, and they already have one open in Izmir, Turkey. I went on their website but I think there's no online concept in europe yet (not that I speak turkish, though).
