You did a great job on editing that NSX Race Car drift. I wonder how you make that linear blur. I know how to make it, but only in one direction. :( I voted for that Viper shot it the competition. It looks real, great composition, nice camera angle... It's just awesome! :D 👍

It's a nice shot, great mood and everything, but the car doesn't look very good. Try checking the tutorials section, there has to be something there. Could you send me the original?

Ah, another Rotary Racer!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I don't have the original on my computer, but I may have it on my phone if I haven't deleted it. I haven't found any suitable tutorial, though.

Next one is the M Coupe. ;)

you should just upgrade to photoshop. i used to run gimp before, and my images didn't look as good either. it's after i switched to ps, i started to get really good results.
now from a raw point of view, i think you composed this very well. the lighting is nice,
giving the photo a good depth, and the contrast is nicely balanced with the exposure,
with the highlights very much intact and not blown out, except for that area on the corner of the rear bumper, but then again there's not much that could be done there.

Thank you for the kindly spoken words, Adrian. You're right when you say that there's not much that could be done here. GIMP just doesn't deliver enough tools to "complete" a shot. I mean, if I had Photoshop, I would've edited that jaggy area on the corner or the rear bumper, but without PS, I can't do it (properly). I darkened the background, in order to make the car stand out more and I've added a glowing light, so that the car looks smoother. The car's rear lights were also jaggy, but I removed them by copy-pasting and smoothening it out. That's the only way I know how to remove little jaggies. Nonetheless, I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied with the result, just because there aren't many tools in GIMP you can use to make a shot better. 👍 But in the end, I ask myself if upgrading to PS would make sense, because I don't knpw if I'm good enough to handle a programm like this.

GIMP is more capable than you two think. Somebody that knows what they're doing that uses GIMP can be better than an inexperienced PS user. I'll give the shot a try and see what I can come up with.

i used to run gimp, but i just find photoshop has more possibilities. it's true though, gimp can still provide results, but it just wont be the same as when you use ps.

Really cool
Looks like its stepping into the darkness

Its the Devilnote mwahaha

The side of the car reminds me of a Peugeot 407 and an Aston Martin DB9. But anyway, great picture, futuristic car and hmmm... does it act really like a devil.

Give it a try guys in AMMT ;)

Just a few recent comp entries before a real update (requests of course, no I haven't forgotten about them).

2.0 week 122

CCCL Week 99 (temporary)

Unedited Week 62

Custom Competition Week 12

And a few bonus PmC shots (except the red 'stang, the wheels are enlarged to a ridiculous level), might use them if the opportunity comes:

Wow, what I intended to be a small update turned out to be a huge one

wow you can obviously see the progression of the OP shots. sorry to say, the first couple pages had some noob-like photos. Go all the way to the last page, and you get pro-like photos. keep up the good work minoltaman!

I will post a new update in a few hours, which will be my last one for this year.

EDIT: Got busy. Update will follow during next week. 👍

Two pictures of what is going to come:

(Didn't want to put in the pictures, because it's no real "update", just a preview ;))

Thanks guys :D

So...I wanted to do a Christmas update, so I worked a little on a shot. It's crappy, and the text is terrible, but I hope you enjoy.

Oh and Merry Christmas. :D

Here's another shot of the M3 GTR. I tried to work with all the tools available in GIMP (especially clean up the car and fix the jaggies) and came up with this:
