Game Data Is Being Downloaded - Only Arcade Mode Available

Hi All,

I am new to both console gaming and PS4, as a long time PC gamer.

I just bought Gran Turismo Sport today and am unable to play with error message same as thread title. I have a 300 mbps connection and downloaded the initial install in about an hour, it has been several hours that the game has been installed but unplayable.

I cannot find any progress bar indicating how much more information needs to be downloaded and what the ETA is. Could someone please help me with how to find that? If it's a 200 GB download than it might make sense to take an hour tops (I normally get 2 GB a minute on steam for example). I just want to get some more information and see if there is anything that needs trouble shooting.

Hi, the install isnt that big. If you go to 'notifications' on your PS4 home screen you will be able to see any downloads in progress.

Try restarting your PS4 also.

As per above, look under notifications.
Also, while the game icon is highlighted click the Options button on your ps4 and go to Check for Downloads (something like that wording). If it hasn't already started downloading the patches, this should kick start it.

Also, we found out the total downloads to date are 24gb due to a recent glitch with a small patch. You'll need nearly 50gb free as it will download then copy the file before install. Another thing to watch as this game eats your HD space faster than pacman

PSN can be slow and won't come close to maxing out your 300mbps connection.
