My take on cheating, for what its worth.
In an essentially one player game like GT3 it's not really that big a deal.
I'd rather play the game within its boundaries. That's my choice.
Some people may not have the time or inclination to play with a MX5 for ages before they get something more fun.
And that is the whole point of games. An entertainment media. My idea of fun is probably very different from that of the guy next door.
Where cheating DOES become a problem is when there is a multi-player aspect involved. Head to head, Ilink or online (not an issue with the PS2 just yet, but certainly the PC market has a thriving online market.
To take an example. I used to play Quake I back in the day. Over the years I saw some seriously talented players get there arses handed to them by people who were cheating.
That IS wrong. Im sure I don't need to explain why, because if I need to explain your probably the sort of person that wouldn't actually give a damn anyway.
To sumise. In the case of GT3 and the Game Shark, the player in question is only cheating himself, and that is entirely his perogative.
