Result. Anyone who still doesn't have them in the uk mail them and state it is a breach of contract, and that if you do not receive them by the end of the next working day you will be taking it further with trading standards. Took them less than an hour to provide the codes and apparently i'm also getting the precision pack too

Requested a full refund thru PayPal for false advertising, declined at first, but still fighting :)

EDIT: Codes received this morning :D

Still no joy here......

I have just opened a paypal disputed insisting they send me the bonus codes or refund my money.

Lets see how quick they are to reply to my request for the codes now.

i have just sent them another email stating that if i have not received the codes by close of business tomorrow i will be opening a paypal dispute dueto breach of contract. lets see if that gets them moving!

First post - been lurking here for a couple of years, but as I have direct experience about this topic, thought I'd chime in to help.

I ordered from GameStop UK initially (Anniversary Edition) as the reports in August suggested that was the place to get it from, only later was it announced that GAME were the official UK partner for the AE pre-order.

Initally the GameStop price was £64.99 but GAME were selling it at £59.99 so I emailed GameStop to see if they would match this price else I'd move the pre-order to GAME.

It took them a couple of days to respond, but they did agree to match the price so I left it with them.

However when it came to shipping I got an email with a tracking number on Thursday 5th which was an invalid package.. I emailed them about this but didn't get a response.

Despite this, the game did arrive by normal post on Friday 6th so I didn't chase up the email I sent, but no sign of the pre-order bonus codes. (Precision Pack + 90 Days PSN) :indiff:

I rang them but didn't get a call back so emailed them again over the weekend and only got a response yesterday saying the codes were coming and I'd have them that evening.

That didn't happen, but I'm pleased to say that they did actually arrive this morning. 👍

All in all, I think GameStop don't quite have their 'efficiency' nailed, and no-doubt the UK exclusive issue threw a spanner in the works, but they do seem to be honouring the pre-orders - at least in my case. (That said I've yet to try the codes tonight to see if they work!)

Aside from me sending a few (polite) emails, I didn't need to get aggro with them (though was ready to over the weekend when I was playing and wanted my codes!), they just seem to take a while to respond.

If you haven't had your codes, it's certainly worth an email to start as if their operation isn't as efficient as it should be, it may just nudge them into action.

As a general note on customer services, regardless of the company - remember honey is better than vinegar - the customer service teams at the other end are more likely to be responsive if you are polite etc - they are just humans too and customer care can be an awful job as most of the time they are just dealing with problems (and anger)...

Hope that helps.

Game still haven't replied to my email sent on the 10th, they say allow 5 days which I will. Just checked their website, its down for maintenance...fun times, not...

There seems to be something very wrong with how Gamestop has managed the issue of their own DLC offers. And it's not just a problem with online pre-orders.
I pre-ordered my game (standard) from a local Gamestop shop (in Dublin). When I went to collect it, the staff were unaware of the pre-order bonuses until I showed them a print-out of the offers from the Gamestop website.
They printed out the codes for me on their computer OK, but seemed annoyed that the management hadn't bothered to tell them anything about the ore-order DLC bonuses.

There should be at least an apology for this confusion.

Gamestop sucks! I pre-ordered the AE from them months ago. When DEC 6th came a freind of mine said about GT6 being released, and I was like yeah cool, I pre-ordered mine months ago, it should be at home waiting for me!

So I get home and no package for me WTF!

Anyway I check the website and it said order confirmed, but that was about it.

Fairly dismayed I stormed into town and picked up and AE edition from my local GAME store £5 cheaper too.

So I emails gamestop to say where the hell is my GT6, and they said that Paypal refused my payment, even though all my details on PP are up to date and correct.

So no I wont be able to get the precision pack at all which is a major gutter, as I wanted the C7 corvette AE edition.

Anyone know if the precision pack will be available to buy for DLC at anytime?

Cheers,

emailed gamestop about my missing codes on Monday but still not received a reply or the codes.

Wow there's a lot of unhappy customers on their FB page with no responses. I emailed them 2 days ago asking for the codes with no reply as of yet, how do i open a dispute on paypal?

You should join in and let them know you are an unhappy customer too. ;)

To open a paypal dispute, go to the resolution center and click 'dispute a transaction', for your reason, tick the box for 'item not as described'. 👍

thanks, found it. Is there a url/ screenshot knocking about showing the pre order bonuses?

To anyone who preordered from Game:

Use the live chat feature on their website, all they ask for is your reward card number and the transaction number on your receipt.
I got my precision pack code in 2 minutes this way

Right been reading this and other threads with interest. I'm in the same position with Gamestop. apart from a 'your issue is shoing as Ps4 related' automated email I have had no response from them whatsoever.

So I have now opened a second complaint ticket, a paypal dispute for the value of items they haven't sent me and due to the wonders of modern communication technology posted complaints on facebook (for which they seem to have hidden all comments on the GT6 page of there website as they were all negative) and i'll be tweeting them daily.

If I can find some chief execs email i'll start hammering that too.

Shoddy customer service and I will not be using them again. First and last time.

On the plus side I seem to be having way more with GT6 than I did 5 :-)

Another GamestopUK codes no-show... I got a reply from their twitter account on Monday when I asked what was happening and they replied "sorry for the delay, these will be sent via email". I've had nothing since despite emailing and tweeting further. Not good enough, I certainly won't be using them to order stuff in future, no matter how good the offer is!

I've just sent them one more email a tweeted their account being nice but they are starting to take the pi**.

They will not be getting my business again and if this refusal to acknowledge a problem continues ill be taking it up with gamestop USA as in my experience they do seem to care about customer service.

When the Preorder was announced I ordered through Gamestop. A few weeks later I looked at their site and noticed the preorder bonus was no longer mentioned. I contacted them for clarification and received a very cheeky reply advising me that I would not get the preorder bonus if it was not on the website and emphasising that I should realise it was Gamestop Europe I was dealing with, not Gamestop USA.
Well no s*** Sherlock, having agreed to pay in GBP and living in the UK I had not previously realised I was not in the good old US of A.
One order promptly cancelled and switched to Game.
My AE version arrived on the 6th with the bonus codes e-mailed to me later that day. Although it would have been better if they had put something in the box to tell me to expect the e-mail.
No-one else has mentioned Apex II which was promised but did not arrive and PD have even removed mention of it for the European version.

You are lucky wezzy, i ordered the AE version from GAME on 28th nov and i still haven't received the game...

Edit : Finally GT6 arrived and the code is there also

Quick update from me. Just of the phone and they are saying that they know they have a problem with gt6 preorder codes and that they should be emailed out by Thursday. I shan't hold my breath.

If that's the case a simple email/tweet saying "We are sorry but these have been delayed but we will have them with you as soon as we can and will keep you up to date" would have been the correct thing to do rather than the wall of silence that i've had.

Either way won't use them again.

This email just came through:

Hi Colin
Thank you for your email
Unfortunately Sony only gave us a limited supply of Codes and we are awiting more to come in:
We have 1 redeem code for you the PSN 90 day Subscription

Once we have more codes from Sony we will contact you asap

Now i have being tweeting them daily and had sent numerous emails so why they couldn't of just said the above even without the code last week I don't know. and if you onlyhave a limited number of codes don't you withdraw the offer when you've sold that amount of copie sof the game?
