Yes, yes it is, which is why no one should shy away from this event because they think they're too slow. Come on everyone, there is great racing to be had here.

If this is the normal time on Saturday (midday'ish here) ..I'm not able to join. I have a mountainbike race (60km) so sorry guys... just noticed this.

I am with you, midday Saturday I would have to bail out(Golf tournament). Do we have a confirmed date/time for this event somewhere ?

Excellent.... i just have arrived home very tired and angry at a 15hr day at work doing stocktake with an auditor looking over my shoulder.........

I was coming on to apologize profusely for my absence, but all is sweet!!!! Cheered me up after a very trying day!

I was thinking about the time of the race for these showdowns. What if we changed it to Sundays instead? Most Saturday's I'm working and if not ideally on a saturday I'd like to go out than be home playing ps3.

Im in the same boat, the races here currently are 8:00 on a sat night. its not often I have this time free for PS3, but whatever is set, if i can make it i will otherwise have to miss it.

Right so what you are trying to say is that we have to give up our Saturday nights because that's when it is convenient for you but it doesn't work the other way around? If that's not what you mean then sorry but that's how it is sounding from my side at least.

All I was trying to suggest is we try find a more convenient night to suit ALL of us. I realise it is difficult considering the time differences between AUS and EU but surely there must be a time that works.

Heck I'm even willing to do races early in the morning if that works for the majority.

I was explaining why it isn't Sunday night. Unless it's a Friday night I don't think there are any other nights for me.

Well, as I said I'll do this as I've done before on Saturday. It's not like we can't discuss about it? ..and you don't need to post in that tone.. We all appreciate this enormous amount of work you've done with this event+other threads. I think nobody tried to step on your toes here. It's just a fact that people has a lot things to do on Saturdays, as it's the only weekday that is free and you don't necessarily need to go somewhere(work) tomorrow. But it's your show so you run the show as you like it, I don't mind at all.. If that means I will sometimes not be able to join, well..... it's a game.

And I will try to make it in the future!! I've enjoyed these races very much! ..If you still are willing to hook me up.

If you cant handle any suggestions then maybe you shouldnt be running it.. ?
If you are going to run it, drop the attitude... either way its your call and you do with it what you want. People will either race or they wont... and accordingly this event will either survive or it wont.

holden really my retaliation to your initial dismissal of sundays is the attitude you used to dismiss it. I appreciate your work in this thread and love the competition but you really need to tone it down a little when you disagree with something said. My suggestions were in no way a personal attack but you took it that way.


Anyhow looks like i'm going to have to withdraw from future showdowns. Just won't be able to race at the timeslot (which this statement is in no way trying to force you Holden to change the event time) I may start doing the showdowns again if my work hours change in the future. Sorry to those who were using my tunes.

What attitude? I'm trying to tell you that as long as I run this it will not be Sunday night, so am offering for someone else to take control if they believe they can do a better job. Alternatively the event could end full stop. A 1 garage Showdown isn't a Showdown at all.

How about a poll with different days and times? Well it might work but there's also the fact that the opinion from the tuners themselves weights more than the racers so I dunno.

If I understand it correctly, there are no more 500PP Expert events? So I guess the Z4 showdown is a nogo.

Too true. We can't tune in the F430/GT-R race, (where would be the fun in it even if we could?), we know how crap Fuji is, and a 750 PP Showdown wouldn't feel right unless you all wanted it really badly. It seems PD simply can't help but hate me, because now I'm going to have to cose this event for a while unless you all really feel we should do a 750 PP race.

PS- The offer is still on the table for someone else to take over and run this event.
