Gear D in Mitsubishi Colt X ?

I purchased a Colt X and I realized that the car is always in Gear D and I'm unable to change gear (despite I'm always on Manual for gear transmission). Is there other cars that have the same type of gearbox as the Colt X or is it a bug? The rev's is capped at 6500rpm and the speed simply goes faster but without changing any gears (I managed to topped at 213km/hr in the test circuit) What is going on with that car?

PS: I couldn't find any related results despite searching for Gear D/0 and Mitsubishi Colt which is why I created this thread.

It's just a drive gear. The Colt X simply does not have more than one forward drive gear.

It's a Continuously Variable Transmission.

I love that car. It's the only one in the game that can reach its top speed in reverse. It's got funny tire treads, too. The car is just so damn goofy. But quite fast. It's a shame it cannot be raced.

Yer, I've sat in that car before; Not only is it strange looking, the cockpit is also helluva hard to get out of.

I find the Colt X pretty boring, due to it's CVT... sounds like a vacuum cleaner 👎
