Hi new here, Got GT4P a couple of weeks ago and a G25 about a week ago. Before using the G25 I could clear events within a couple of tries. Now I can barely make it around the track.

I drive with all assists off. I was wondering if I should turn them on and just finish all the events (Currently stuck on A2). Or just keep practicing with g25 with all the assists off.

Also is there a guide that gives general racing advice, about how to enter turns, entry and exit speeds, nothing track specific but general advice on how to race and common mistakes, I searched around but haven't found anything concrete.

Thank You

Welcome to GTP. Using the search at the top of the screen will find you alot of answers needed.

I would say leave all aids off and get the raw feel for the car. There is a diary HERE with alot of helpful information, tips and the frustration of picking up a wheel.

Maz filled out the thread during this time learning and its a great read.

Thanks a lot I was looking for something like that exactly.

The search is good but if you don't get the right terms you won't find awesome stuff like the thread you just posted.
None the less I shall continue.

Good luck on your progress. :) 👍

As you'll notice in the thread Jack posted, it will take some time to master the wheel well. There's no shortcuts around it.

And remember to have fun. :)

Thanks, its hard not to have fun, with the wheel.

Being raised slightly religiously, I feel dirty after the amount of fun I am having.

What exactly are you doing to the poor wheel,:ill: it is for meant for driving and nothing else. :sly::sly:

Heres another peice of help,

Pick up your controller and drive one hard and fast lap and save the ghost. Pick up the G25 and continue to persue the ghost till you can get close to it. Thats how I learned to use the wheel, and I used a AWD car as it's easier. For RWD, throttle control is key ! And tires. Not to mention, try paddle shifts before diving into the H box transmission.
