Don't be discouraged by them T I was just as shocked as you at the times for race 5 and I watched Morelli's race awesome run!

He didn't use a wheel which was surpising! I too thought this was the reason for the ultra fast times! maybe not this time

Nope, still using AT.
I've tried to convince myself that it really is time for me to learn Manual shifting. Not convinced yet.

But i think i will start soon though.

I changed over to MT at the start of GT3 to beat the GT-One@Cote D'Azur License test and haven't looked back. Took me a day or two to get it right and now I can't drive if its on auto...damn fingers are trained to change gears now and have a mind of their own

One thing I found about the Manual, is that the standard configuration is not very good for me. I had to switch it to R1 = upshift, R2 = Down shift. that way I was able to hold the controller easily.

But after seeing these times, and finding out that alot of the top drivers use a wheel...I'll have to try one out.

There should be a seperate class for wheels. When two top drivers face off, and one has a wheel capable of helping to produce a time that the other guy can't with a reg. controller, that is what is called an unfair advantage.

Yeah, I'm reminded of that fact every time I use the Bill Gates save... I come off of Auto drive and immediately send the engine screaming into first gear. One of these days I'll have to remember to change that and save it LOL.

Odd that you found it different. I don't see how it's not the same, just reversed.

Like Drew said once you learn, there's no going back and even trying to go back your fingers won't let you

I first tried it in gtds1 with L1 as downshift and R1 as upshift, soon got Ron following suit, but he changed it to L2 & R2 which is ok coz the pads are bigger . Try a few different configurations find the one you feel comfortable with and in no time you'll be manual all the way

Kelly knows that I use to always do AT until the GTD1 spot race at DF2 with the S2000 that is where I started teaching myself to use MT.

Hey Guys and Lady I just thought I'd let you people know that I have just done some new hotlap personal records at Midfield II and Rome in the Castrol Mugen NSX the times are..... 59.787 at MF2 and 1'06.573 at Rome.

Oh and on the Ozzie note, you Ozzie's are real good luck for me while at the blackjack tables! Had a fellow from Melbourne sitting with me and we got to talking and he was a real good guy, and while I was playing with him it was the only time where I was winning money!

It's not that great at all. One new track, a bunch of new cars who are likely to appear in GT4 too, and a small arcade part.

That's all. After 3 hours i managed 100%, and after that i never played it again.
