General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

I won the lowrider race first try with the Remington. I love that big thing.

But my real favorite car is the Monte Carlo remake (what's it called again?). It's big, it's fast, handles good, and i don't care if i dent my passenger side door.

Remington is actually a cool car-- I found one while I was on a mission but while I was killing it disappeared-- it spawned near the LV airport while I was driving either a cabbie or taxi (I can't remember which)-- to me its looks like a great big cadilac (old style) but its a low rider--- (it actually looks like a combination of a cadilac and an impala)....it actually drives pretty fast and has good handling--engine sounds cool.

Also to those searching for the patriot-- I twice saw it parked in the parking lot of the LV hospital next to the airport.

It's in the Easter Basin Military compound. Just go in and take a left. But be careful - you attain 5 stars, so getting it back to a garage is tricky.

Yes you can. All you have to do is make sure your health isn't full and honk your horn at her. When she says lookin' for a good time or something, reply positively by pushing right with the d-pad and hopefully she should hop in. :sly:

Yep...I only listed the other one for the people without a deathwish--it took me 3 or 4 tries to survive my foray onto the base to get that patriot.

Damn! thats where it was in SF I knew id seen one there.
I searched all over SF looking for that thing for import/export, but i was was thwarted by the size of the map.
Oh well now we can tell people another location for the patriot.

It’s in the biggest hangar in the LV airport. I’m not sure when that unlocks it but my flying stats where maxed out when I found it
 
You think I care, I want one. I love the private jets at the airport so hopefully I'll like this thing.
 
I love the flying on San Andreas. It's done so well in my opinion. It's actually fun to fly, where as the Skimmer got repetitive after a while, and I only ended up doing it to get "Ace".

I love a challenge, and with flying, it can be. It's good how the planes blow up on hard impact, like they should.
 
I was just wondering how far into the game you have to get before you can fly a plane/take the pilots licence test. I have just torched the hippies field of weed and now i am a couple of missions into getting my garage going in San Fierro. How much longer is there? I tried to get into the airport but it said 'you do not have enough flying skill'. How the hell do i get flying skill if it wont let me fly a plane? :banghead:

You can stunt in the airport apparently using a Packer and a bike. I found that (in San Fierro at least) that if you crash into the gates on a motorbike, one of the gates will open up as you're getting back on your bike. So you can get in. However, the planes are all locked, but someone said that the Maverick isn't.

It'll be a while before the pilot's license tests are unlocked for you. It'll come up in the course of the game storyline.

You can also park a car by the huts at the gates, climb onto it and get atop the hut. Hurrah!


I'm exploring San Fierro at the moment - I've seen an actual piece of cable used in the bridge, a few facts about the bridge ("1.27mb of disk space!") and a nuclear submarine. Called the USS Numnutz.
 
Maybe it's just me and I'm stupid, but did anyone make the connection between the mission Green Sabre and CJ's mother's death? I was going to ask "what the hell was all that about?". Why are they showing us a green Sabre and why is CJ shocked to see it?

I found out that apparently it's mentioned in an earlier mission that it mentions that CJ's mum was killed in a drive-by involving a green Sabre. Did you all know this? I hadn't a clue. I thought that mission made no sense when I played it first.

Then again, in Vice City, I had no idea (even after playing through the storyline a bunch of times) that Lance's brother was killed during the ambushed drug deal at the start.

Maybe I'm just daft. :dunce:

Yep,me too.I missed the part (somehow) where they mentioned that CJ's mother was killed in a drive-by and that the killers were in a Green Sabre.

Thinking about it,who killed her?The Ballas?
 
well ive got all gold on my tests, and i was very fortunate to find a hummer waiting for me at a hospital, i was on a mission to pick up this guy from the hospital (in LV) and it was ther so i hoped in it and drove it to my garage then resumed the mission finished, saved went back and the hummer was in my garage. yay. now i need mesa ( i think its called this) and remeington to complete the first I/E. Im nearly done the mainstory missions. I need help with that gurl you need to suduce to get the swipe card, shes never at home. can someone help me.

She's at home at about 12:00 or 13:00.^To Viper Maniac, the Mesa is the jeep and I wound mine in North Los Santos, but I think it was just luck. The Euros is under the sphinx at the Camel's Toe Casino in Las Venturas.

I don't know. Because it shows Smoke, Ryder and Tenpenny in the garage with the car, I think maybe it's implying one or all of them.

But the game doesn't really explain it well. If they wanted to make a point of revealing details about his mother's murderer(s), they could have given a proper explanation.

The marker's on Tenpenny.

He says, often, that his job is easier when the gangs are all killing each other. If one gang gets an unfair advantage, he levels it. By killing CJ's mother, he brings CJ back to Los Santos and by knowing he's coming he could frame him for murder and have a useful member of Grove Street to control.
 
I've finished the main storyline and considering what I've missed in Vice City and San Andreas so far, they could have explained it and wrapped it up for all I know. I might have missed something else. :dunce:

Super Bike Jump
This requires that you are have a gun that can be used while riding a bicycle. Immediately after you release the jump button (L1), tap circle. You should tap and release fast enough so the gun does not actually fire. You can jump over 2 stories high this way if you time it right.
 
I'm not much of a bike person but thanks, I'll check it out sometime.

Not sure about the mesa--

I saw a remington while driving either a taxi or cabbie (can't remember which and don't know if these affect the remington spawning) near the LV airport--I wanted to see what car it was so I grabbed it. I found it while on a mission and parked it to do the mission and it was gone when I came out.

Remington is a low rider car but is kind of boxy--like if a cadilac and an impala had a child--I think its a 4 door-- its pretty fast, handles good, and engine sounds pretty cool-- It might be my favorite car in the game. I only had it for a couple of minutes and haven't bothered to look for it again.
