Genshin ImpactPS4

AR40+ is amazing, because the chances of blue or higher artifacts/items increases drastically, but it doesn't come without flaws. First issue I'm currently having is certain items being time-gated, so ascending is a longer process to get up to Lv 60+, and then enhancement ores become a lot more rare because of how many it takes to progress.

Farm routes definitely become more important around this rank. There's a nifty little tool I use for finding certain monsters or items.

https://genshin-impact-map.appsample.com/#/

This map can toggle anything you are looking for on or off and the exact location they can be found.

Here's an example of Stormterror's Lair, where I have toggled on the crystal chunk locations and any large hilichurls or abyss mages.

...but this change is kinda odd. :odd: Doesn't make sense for expeditions to work like that.

Thank you for posting the update notes for me! I saw the update file had installed this morning so I shall be having a look at it from tomorrow as finally got some time off work so catch up on the game since my last visit a few weeks ago!

Have you noticed any changes to photo mode or if we have more options/photo mode available in dungeons etc as I find the limited options available in the dungeons is my only frustration with the game at the moment!

Added to opening but this site has built into a well established Genshin database!

Got back to playing Genshin. Last two weeks, haven't been in the mood to be playing any games, mainly because I tested positive for COVID, and finally getting over that. Now, that's out of the way. I can finally start doing those new events, with the meteorites. Finally figuring out what I need to do as well. Still haven't done the main storyline for version 1.1 yet.

Sorry to hear about virus but glad you are getting through it!

I also finally got back to the game over the weekend as I started a new game on the profile I'm using for the PS5 so had to start from the beginning.

Currently at Adventure Rank 13 and have completed all of the quests up to this point bar the one with the big robot bosses you have to beat as my current party are not strong enough though I have them all ready to ascend to Phase 2 and there weapons are maxed out at 20 along artificats.

Have just met Diluc and off duty Jean and Vivendrei so I am hoping they will join the party soon as I haven't done any wishes on this account yet though I have 10 available and am working on getting the other 10 wish stones to have a big wish run and hopefully win a few characters!

I will share some more photo's in due time in my gallery here and the thread.

Hit AR40, after finishing the new v1.1 questline, as well as Mona's quest that unlocked at AR38. Found that v1.1 questline pretty fascinating, and liked how it ended. Now I just can't wait to see the next location, and how that storyline works out.

Did a couple of wishes and ended up getting Ninggaun, and Beidou. Also realized, you can't name your party MILF :D It's just too bad, I can't level all the characters I want, without some serious grinding, that I don't have time to do. I mainly have my primary party, and have about two that I mainly focus on first.

Good result I would say, you got two characters I am having to be patient for as I only have one won character so far Sucrose whom is fast become a favourite in my party.

I reached Adventure Rank 16 last night so finally opened up Co-Op play and have a few open quests to complete at the moment which should net at least another two adventure rank levels..

Have enough to do 20 wishes tonight (1 set of each type) so I'll be adding a video a bit later to show my rewards and hoping I get quite a few characters as I am now playing the game on two profiles with the idea of them working together once the second account gets co-op unlocked (currently AR 10).

This game really captivates me to play unlike most of the other games I've been dabbling with.

Yeah, this game pulls me in, kind of like Destiny did in the beginning. Pretty much Modern Warfare and Genshin are the only two games that I put time into. Only reason I play MW is my buddies from work play it, so we play for an hour after work. After their done, I switch to Genshin.

I got Jean leveled to level 80 to match Fischl. Did some more Fallen Star Event with a buddy to get his 7 games in, to get the free Fischl. I was host, so I was facing level 70 enemies, so the matches took around 5-6 minutes. Probably do some more this weekend, so I can buy out the store for level up materials.

Planning to play this for android or ps4, any useful tips for beginners?

Ty

Welcome aboard the Genshin train!

The game is quite straightforward in terms of picking up as the initial story chapter will introduce you to the basics of the game and the controls quite straightforwardly.

Best tip I would say for beginning a new game is when you are exploring the map make sure to pick up the various resources you come across on the map (food items, iron ore etc) as these will be needed later on for crafting weapons and so forth.

Collecting treasure chests across the map will help levelling up your adventure rank so make sure to pick up any that you find and also it's quite important to activate any Anemo statues you locate on the map as these allow you to revive fallen characters in the party when you approach them and also open the map of the area you are in so you can see the location.

Anyone else feel free to add anything I missed!

Also, pin things on your map if you find things you want to collect later, especially the Anemoculi and Geoculi for the statues. There are different pins you can place, so choose however you want to organize your pins.

So far I have not done any microtransactions at all and I have about 12 characters on my account so far from wishes so hopefully you will have the same fortunes!

Genshin doesn't really seem to push you into putting money into it. Only if you want to, and how desperate you want characters. I probably spent $100 in Genshin since it first came out, between wishes, and the two battle passes we had. Honestly, I rather put money into this game, than I would in any Call of Duty game.

At first, I was considering starting to play the game... then I looked into the company who made it, and there was the problem: chinese.

I'm never going to play this game. I don't want my data to be mined to finance, endorse and keep Genocide, Slavery & Torture alive in a Satanic dictatorship.

What were the battle passes, I guess that must have been in the 2-3 weeks I was doing other stuff?

Also can anyone confirm if characters unlock after completing their respective story quests or can they only be unlocked through events/wishes?

The battle passes are a way of getting a lot of levelling materials and Mora. If you purchase the Gnostic Hymn, then at Level 30 in the BP, you can choose between 5 weapons, all with a Crit Rate% sub stat. The Black Sword is great because it has a chance at healing on a critical hit, and the Solar Pearl increases Burst damage on normal attacks and vice versa. The catalyst is perfect for Klee since it increases damage on both, making DPS a lot higher.

The Story characters like Klee, Jean, etc. can only be unlocked through Wishes. The only 5 star character to get more than one chance at gameplay is Mona if you did the Meteor event for Fischl.

so that's a deal breaker for you already? lol feels shallow

it's somewhat like realizing the food you're gonna eat is pork and you'd want to avoid it because you're a muslim

So, I've been playing this for a few days and... Amber is such waifu material... *-* ♥

Currently 2nd favourite Waifu in game however you have yet to meet the number 1 Waifu Xiangling, she's become my favourite after that quest for ingredients, much comedy laughter throughout!

Now I just have to clear floor 3 of the Spiral Abyss to unlock her for my party!

That's something different. Yes, muslims are being mistreated like dogs being killed for that ''delicious'' meat adrenaline, but I don't follow that religion, or any, for that matter (Though I still think the uyghur treatment is beyond unreasonable). Remember, this is human lives we're talking about, human lives that are left miserable and doomed to being killed for not obeying someone with a god complex. Furthermore, chinese people can't even play video games like genshin impact without being blocked from planes and trains for it. Don't you think that's high irony right there?

Add me to the list of ones that have been sucked into this as well. I'm not one for understanding all the different types of abilities, but I've enjoyed the story and the world so far. Free game, so might as well sink some time into it for a while.

Spent some time going around finding statues to add areas to the map. The long trek all the way down to Liyue was pretty gruesome, but I can get to pretty much anywhere now. There is one statue towards the middle left of the map that I haven't figured out yet; it's on a greenish rock-like platform that from what I can tell, I can't get to yet. Assuming I need to progress in the story further.

As one that enjoys games for their plotline, I can't say I'm a huge fan of locking story quests behind Adventure Ranks but if anything, that just means I get to put some time into it instead of blowing through it in two weeks time.

Oh My Lanta! Got Qiqi! Decided to save my wish when the new Zhongli banner came out. Really wanted Qiqi to complete Team Smol. I guess I got lucky! Now to farm exp books, so I can level up Klee, Diona, and Qiqi

idk lol.

it's your opinion anyway but why would you share something that negative in a thread dedicated to the game if you don't even have any plans to play it at all just because you learned something that you don't like about it? like people here would care.

Wish I could have that luck, haven't had any characters in the 20 wishes I did last week (2 lots of 10 at a time).

I have finally reached Adventure Rank 20 and am ready to begin the challenge for Xiangling, does anyone have any tips on the party I should form for the Spiral Abyss since my first time visiting there.

Floor 1 is Pyro and I have only Amber in that element at the moment so I know she'll be essential but not sure who else I'll need so any info welcomed!

Thought it was a clever puzzle to get there though!

Yes, opinions are a thing, but how do you feel about facts? Like the fact that the chinese government forces all chinese companies to hand over all private customer and user details to them, including from genshin impact players? Or how mining data is a business which the same government uses to further aid organ harvesting?

If I DO end up playing the game, I'll just say several different variations of Free Hong Kong in the chat, then see how long it takes for me to get banned from genshin impact just to prove that it supports the chinese communist party.

With all due respect no one is denying the issues that exist in China or the government's use of information but this is a topic about the actual game itself and we should not be discussing the specific issues of that country within it or the fact that the developer muHoYo is based there.

It is not our control that the founding company is based in China and I for one have no major concerns about my data on the internet and who has it, after all it is our decision to play online games and allow the use of our data by said companies, it is always a strong risk but be left down that individual and if you want to take a different course/not play it should be left at that.

The fact the game has amassed an incredible amount of players in such a short space of time who enjoy the game for what it is is what we should be discussing and the actual excellent game that has been created, that is all I have to say on this particular subject so let's get back to the game...

Very well, then. But still, I WILL post a screenshot once I can no longer play the game ever again.

Remember: The developers tried suing their own players.

Remember: The developers tried suing their own players.

I am well aware of this one because that has been a topic discussed at length over the Genshin Impact forums however I should add that this relates to 'disclosure' of forthcoming game updates, specifically Version 1.2 from a closed private test beta which had a non disclosure agreement attached to it so basically don't leak any information or we'll take action which the company has done.

This sort of situation is not a new occurrence and not specific to only being muHoYo taking this sort of action against players of a game, you just have to look at Rockstar and Take Two taking similar action over leaks about Grand Theft Auto Online and so forth.

I understand the desire of people to want to know everything about the game and what's coming but equally I can understand the company's viewpoint about how for some it spoils the enjoyment of what is coming next and equally I get your stance, feel free to post the screenshot IF that happens.

That's all I have to add on this discussion.
