Yeah, probably. Bavs in good nick go for about $6-7k AU here, but they're pretty rare.

The reason I posted it is that I've always wanted a Bavarian (shape appeals to me for some reason, plus it runs the same drivetrain as the coupe, which gets $25-30k). I had visions of buying two, one to keep standard, and one to do EXACTLY what this guy's done - drop an M5 straight-six into it, and run it in the Targa Tasmania.

A guy can dream...
