Why are you praising them? They blew it and swept it under the rug.

I needed the last 2 races to make up for 2 earlier bad races, and now I only have one race.

They acknowledged the issue and cancelled the glitched event in a very quick manner.

What more do you want? This is a TEST SEASON, bugs happen. It's better to happen now than in the real thing, dont you agree?

They did NOT act quickly! The game was crashing when trying to check to point standings for the Manufacturer's Series all day long and points were gone. That the races were all ****ed up should not have been a surprise to anyone and could have been prevented if they'd been paying attention.

I’m not happy I lost two good opportunities to get more points but it’s a test season so it happens. Now I have to try to get 1200 points in one race the right way. I’ve got a lot of practice to do for the real championship.

The RCF was fun to drive around Bathurst.

Youre right, the game was crashing, but nothing from this bug would automatically mean the races would glitch and mix themselves.

They'd never been able to fix the problem that fast for us to race on the events of yesterday i feel.

I don't get why people are complaining over a test, test season 2 will start on Sunday and for all I know everybody starts from scratch anyway. Do points even carry over to test season week 2?

I disagree. People started crashing immediately after the last round 5 race... that should be raising alarm bells at PDI/Sony instantly. The crashes continued all day and the points still were not there when the first round 6 races started and were mixing GT and Nations participants.
Also, there is no indication that European or Asia/Oceania regions were affected at all -- just the Americas.... proof is checking the news pages for other regions by changing 'us' in the URL to 'gb', 'fr', 'be', 'au', 'jp', etc for different locales in the different regions. (The final results for Asia/Oceania have been published.)
That indicates the problem arose from data corruption in the Americas rather than a common programming bug... there was no patch but the problem is fixed.

I don't know, the fact that it was a test season I think the gets any of the complaining that we are normally allowed. Attest season, it's just that. It's a test, it's not the real thing. I'm sure they're using this to ensure that everything will work smoothly for the next real championships.
