Getting LE content back...

Did anyone already find a way to get the LE content back, now that the PSN is back up?

I tried redeeming my code again, but that doesn't work yet (apparently that part of S2U depends on the bits of PSN that aren't back online yet).

I miss my Manufacturer Showdowns and Old vs. New events

I just got Shift 2 this Friday, and can't seem to redeem my code either. I think I'll try in a few days, once PSN is fully back up.

no the problem is that deleting patch 1.01 delete also LE, not only the cars but also the events are gone, the cars also disappear from the car lot and the events can'ty get back in any dealer. So to have the events and cars back again we have to wait the psn store to be up, redeem the LE code and hope it works again. In my opinion we won't get it back, we'll receve code already used or something like that.

That would be strange. The code should have been tied to your EA pass thingy so you can reinstall the game; e.g. when your PS3 craps out.

i'm always pessimist Hope to get it back because old vs new and manufactures battles are amazing fun.

However i lost only the events, i have the cars in my garage, giulietta, silvia and murcielago. ( not in the car lot)

As Brambos says the pass is tied to your PSN account.

From the EA Q&A site:

4. Will my Online Pass expire?
No. The Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Online Pass will be tied to your PlayStation Network screen name for the lifetime of the account.

Different game but same principle.

Plus, when I tried last night it came up with the option to redownload the LE content and grant me access to online races but of course with the store down it can't do that.

So, I'm sure the LE stuff will return when the PSN is 100% up.

Shouldn't we be able to redownload the things we downloaded from the PSN store anyway? E.g.: just go to your downloaded items list in PSN and redownload? No way to verify at the moment with the store being down of course.

You don't need to download anything. Its in the game. just use the redeem code again.

Same here but cars in garage not in the dealer. We've to wait psn store, cause if you try to put in the redeem code it says that store is under maintenance.

I noticed that too and I don't think PSN store will be up before the end of the month. Besides we already new it was the last thing they'll restore

Why not just go to Acct Mgmt/Transaction Mgmt/Download List and download it again? Obviously this depends on PSN granting store access.

yes, i checked and it's there, downloaded on 1st april , 0 euro. But it doesn't make me download it again due to store being down.

I just got my LE content back! I have two homes, and two PS3s, of course. I just got to my 2nd home for the first time since PSN went down. I use a thumb drive to take my game saves back and forth. When I loaded the game, updated to 3.61 and 1.02...voila!...there was my Murci, Giuletta, and S15. Actually, I had to go to the car lot and buy them again for $0. And the extra events were there also! I'm not sure why this happened, but I'm happy about it. Now when I take this game save back to my other home, I'll have it there too.

This is weird. I just came back to my main home and installed the game save with the LE content intact. But, the LE content is not there...except one of the cars (S15) that I had been driving. I don't think I drove the Lambo or the Giuletta. Is the LE content stored with the game data, not the game save? Why would one car remain, but not the others? Once you use a car, does it become part of your game save?

This is consistent with my experience. I bought all three LE cars, but I only ever drove the Giulietta. After patching, unpatching and repatching, the only LE car I can see in my garage is the Giulietta. However, the two other cars are still there, they're just not visible in the garage. The number of cars owned (as show in autolog/profile) does indeed includes the Silvia and the Lambo. All the 'invisible' LE cars can still be selected for races using the triangle button in the event screen - in the Endurance World Series you can use this to see if your garage is complete.

The LE events are nowhere to be seen though... What a mess!

Ahhhh...that explains why I have the S15, but not the others. I bought a second S15 for $0.

But, I guess there is no work around for the events. I thought they would move with my game save, but they didn't. I guess they stay with the machine.

Not in patch 1.02. I did get the LE events back with v1.01 though...

I just used the method of buying a car of the same brand, buying a Skyline to get my Silvia back. I then proceeded with a series of experiments, buying and selling cars of the same brands as the LE cars and driving the regained LE cars so the got more than 0 miles. To make a long story short, the conclusion is indeed that LE cars are only visible if they have a sibling of the same brand in the garage. BTW, none of the LE cars are available in my Carlot.

As a lifelong system developer I'm impressed by the inconsistencies and weirdness of S2U

If nothing else, the works converted Silvia that I got back is fun to drive

I'll be back at my 2nd PS3 next weekend. I still have all LE content on that machine. I'm going to drive the Murci and the Giuletta, and also purchase new ones. So hopefully that will make sure all three stay with my game save this time!

OK - the LE content is back. Re-redeeming the LE code did it.

As a side effect, the 'ghost' events that used to appear to the right of GT1 (whatever that was...) are no longer visible.
