anyone else getting this i beat the ghost car over the line but get a slow time how come is that i thought every time you cross that line ahead of ghost car you faster

The ghost car disappears if your view is 'inside' it. You can be half a car length behind and not be able to see the ghost car.

If you are ahead of the ghost, your time will be faster, it's just the margins are so small when getting your time down that you're pretty much always neck and neck with your ghost.

If you don't save you best time ghost, the next time you go to GT Academy, you wont be "racing" against your best time overall but against you best in that particular day/time/whatever moment.

I think this guy hit the nail on the head ^_^ Unless you save your best time ghost and load it at the start of each session you don't have the benchmark of your best time to work with, only the best of that session so far.
