Hey guys. I have been reading on these forums for a couple of weeks now, it seems that we are expecting..just too much. Night / Day, weather, damage, loads of tracks, loads of cars, great visuals, great sound, perfect AI, WRC, Nascar, imminent release, great trees (lol).

me personally, i'd rather have no damage. They could never really perfect the damage model on this hardware. just impossible. I think this game is gonna rock as have all GT's in the past. & if its as good as GT4.....then we are in for a real treat.

Well done PD, what a christmas you guys are gonna have :sly:

Give them a break? We've been waiting forever for GT5. They owe us. Sure, we haven't paid for GT5 yet and they've given us a reasonably priced teaser in GT5: Prologue... but we've waited so long, I'm angry and I haven't had my afternoon nap! By the way, we want 3D trees, super realistic damage on every car, reverse lights, 1000 tracks and so on.

I have.

Give them a break!? As if.... I want my money back! (after I pay for it)

so...just to recap, you don't want much then. just relax...it will come:tup:

Here is the thing, it is better to be pessimistic and be surprised than optimistic and be let down.

How about being optimistic and be surprised? (that's always what happens anyway!) :E

Life would be such a horrendous proposition if you went through it pessimistic..

not for me

GTplanet should have a firm contact with PD but we do not really have that. Instead everybody is stateing the issues to others here in hope for someone from PD pay a visit to forums.

Yeah, I reckon all GT5 needs to make me happy is GT4 with better graphics and physics, more cars and tracks. And people seem to be so unhappy with the visuals in Prologue. I think they're still the best of any racing game ever, except of course GT5 which has already made some improvements that we've seen.

And if you think about it, damage is kinda in the same league as oil changes or even running low on gas. Sure damage may seem a little more obvious, but they're all consequences. If you run into a wall, you're car gets damaged. If you run your car at all, you eventually need to change your oil or get fuel. In other words, it's not necessary.

I'm sorry to say it but we can't have everything we want in GT5 or the PS3. Stunning graphics, yes. Interior view, 1000 cars, and even some damage, yes. So we've already got alot and there's no point in hoping for more that can be given. And people point out "Well Forza has this and that," But keep forgetting that Forza has less than half the cars, worse graphics, and only outputs in 720. Sure it has half the development time, but the difference is not only that they don't have to take as much time for less detailed models and the like, but they also cut corners, and Polyphony doesn't.

Yeah I agree with that... people gonna freakin out here... if they really implement all that what the people here want, then we will never get GT5...

I think they ve done a great work on GT5 and we will get the best GT ever... And with DLC and patching there are no limits for the future...

This why I'm not worried about anything. Anything and everything can be added, tweaked, fixed, edited through DLC.

Thats why I preach, Gimmie the game now, patch what we dont think works right.

If people stopped bitching about the game we'd have nothing to talk about 99% of the time. This forum would have been dead up until E3, then if anyone actually remembered GT5 at E3, we would have had a few threads about the trailer, then dead again. :P

When you've been waiting this long there isn't much to talk about unless you start bitching about things.

Yes, but I really want reverse lights, because that's basically what I've been waiting for all these years...

remember Che from turn 10 - he used to give weekly updates on a saturday when we were waiting for forza2 (dont know if they still do it as im not too fussed on the new forza). Wish PD would do that :)

Call me totally skeptical and a conspiracist (sp?) but if PD gives us everything we want in this game, what could they improve on the next game? I think there is a little motivation to NOT give us everything so they can use that missing component as a selling point later on.

But as for the release date, it doesn't matter anymore now that they can release updates to make the game better/improved so we no longer have to wait and wait and wait for a final product they can get like 90% of it done and ship the game and by the time we get it, have an update ready.

Plus, they can have a small team of people work on making tweaks/improvements, something I bet they have been wanting to do for a long time since KY is a perfectionist :)

If you take into acount the amount of polish and quality of the GT game you shouldn't complain much, if at all. These guys are pretty devoted to their game and don't behave like an a**, please. We all love Gran Turismo for its driving physics, challenging events, tons of cars and beautiful graphics and it delivers that means you'll be happy more than you can wish. I myself like to pop-in some fine uptemo jazz music, sit behind the wheel and just race for the fun of it when the time flies by just like that! I can't do that with any other racing game, no other racing game feels as "right" as GT for me. Oh, god you can't possibly imagine how much I love GT5.
