This has been a really, really bad start to the year.
Sadly I only see it picking up pace as lots of the rock legends from the 60's and 70's are getting up there in age and didn't exactly look after their health when they were young.
I don't think this is. Frey died from "rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia while recovering from intestinal surgery" at 67. Frey didn't appear to be one of those musicians who was involved in heavy substances in his younger days & pneumonia is still a very serious illness. At his age, complications whilst recovering usually take a heavy toll on the body.R.I.P.
Sometimes I hate it when I'm right, this is certainly one of those instances.

I owned 'The Very Best Of' album that featured 'Hole in the World', one of their better tracks from their reunion days (second to Long Road out of Eden). Pretty accurate portrayal of their career at that point in time.RIP Glenn Fry, will always remember his song 'The Heat Is On' from the start of Beverly Hills Cop. I was not a big fan of the Eagles personally, but their impact cannot be overstated - in terms of 'official' figures, The Eagles have the second biggest selling album of all time, their 'Greatest Hits 1971-1975'... which doesn't even have 'Hotel California' on it....the album 'Hotel California' is also one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
