Very sad. The Eagles always had sentimental value to me, and the fact that they can't ever have another concert without Glenn is extremely sad. Couldn't even accept the Kennedy Center awards in time... R.I.P Glenn Frey.
Link.

My Dad introduced me to their music on one of our road trips for my racing, and it's safe to say I've been a big fan of them ever since.

R.I.P Another legend gone... :(

R.I.P.:(

Sometimes I hate it when I'm right, this is certainly one of those instances.
I don't think this is. Frey died from "rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia while recovering from intestinal surgery" at 67. Frey didn't appear to be one of those musicians who was involved in heavy substances in his younger days & pneumonia is still a very serious illness. At his age, complications whilst recovering usually take a heavy toll on the body.

Sad none the less. :(

He was known for doing so much cocaine it damaged his sinuses...

You have very valid points with the rest of your post though.

RIP Glenn Fry, will always remember his song 'The Heat Is On' from the start of Beverly Hills Cop. I was not a big fan of the Eagles personally, but their impact cannot be overstated - in terms of 'official' figures, The Eagles have the second biggest selling album of all time, their 'Greatest Hits 1971-1975'... which doesn't even have 'Hotel California' on it....the album 'Hotel California' is also one of the biggest selling albums of all time.

I owned 'The Very Best Of' album that featured 'Hole in the World', one of their better tracks from their reunion days (second to Long Road out of Eden). Pretty accurate portrayal of their career at that point in time.
