Glowing Brakes

Warming the brakes up should help too, I think.
This will be about the same amount of time the tyres need to get to temperature, or even less.
Long brakezones coming from high speeds should get your discs red hot.

When in photomode, play around with the shutterspeed to get that 'moving wheels' picture.

Another problem that I find is showing the wheels moving in the picture; or they appear moving so fast, and the brakes don't appear in the picture or the wheels are completely stopped...

As someone stated above, you need to adjust the shutter speed in order to realize the blurred effect of a wheel in motion.

I don't really know, but I'm with you: pictures from wheels with the brakes "burning" are amazing. Another problem that I find is showing the wheels moving in the picture; or they appear moving so fast, and the brakes don't appear in the picture or the wheels are completely stopped...

Choose Mode 3 in the camera options, f number 45 and 1/60th sec speed!👍

Hey there guys! I'm fairly new to the photo aspect of gt5 and was wondering how you get pictures of the brakes glowing red? I tried and tried and just couldn't get it so I was wondering if anyone here could help?
Cheers!

SSR7 (any track, really) + Fast car + 300 km/h + brake hard = glowing brakes. Then just pause the replay at the right time and get shootin'.

Basically go really fast, then slam on the brakes to get them to glow.
Damnit Fishy Tree'd me.

Also use lower grip tires such as street hard and maybe put some moisture on the track to maximize braking time.

Buy SLS AMG - Best car to get red brakes with (Easiest)
Go to any track day or night
Get going at a decent pace, then slam on the brakes.
Going fast isn't required with the SLS - It LOVES to get red. Even 100MPH-0 should do it.

Thanks guys! I was trying to do it with a gallardo with no success! I'll try the sls. I was wanting pictures where the brakes are really red and the car is still visible(I seen it in one of the photo threads) I think it looks great and really want some decent pics! I was using route x!

Put then in the microwave for 10-15 minutes.

But on a serious note, just brake hard and put all the brake bias at the front.
Try it at La Sarthe at night at the end of the Mulsanne Straight. 👍

I wonder how it would taste... :) .

What about ABS off? Maybe that will help. ;)

That doesn't help because if you lock up the brakes completely, you will get no friction on the brake discs, which causes the brakes to glow when there is a high level of friction.

You know S**T is getting serious when your breaks turn red lol. I mostly race "Race For Real" in Nurb and Man it gets pretty intense a lot of times. I love GT5!

I've tried this, it works flawlessly 👍

Also for a good joke, paint the SLS red matte with bright red rims, and light up those brakes! It makes for a good photo.

I've had some fantastic shots with the advice in this thread! Thinking about posting them in the Lambo photo forum

I didn't know a SLS could feel embarrassed... :embarrassed:
