God of War: The Movie

I'll get straight to the point, I have heard that Universal Studios is teaming up with some other people and making a movie for the PS2 game God of War.


For those who haven't played the game, it's about a Spartan warrior names Kratos who trades his life to the Greek god Ares for ultimate power. The god of war then betrays Kratos and tricks him into killing his own wife and child. Kratos then swears to destroy the god who betrayed him.
Kratos seeks forgiveness from the gods by completing each task the gods provide him with. Then Ares attacks Athens and Kratos is charged with the task of killing Ares. Kratos accepts the task and sets out to find Pandora's Box. Kratos uses the box to defeat Ares, and get his revenge against the god who had betrayed him.

Yeah, I've heard they were making a movie about it but I have not seen any pictures or any kind of footage yet.

The first game was great.
The second was absolutely awesome.
If they do make a movie of God of War, and make it with good special FX and story plots then this could make a movie to top the box-office charts.
