Hey everyone. This thread deals with a purely hypothentical question.

I wish God was real. This would be the time when we need him the most. I think it would be great if God was more involved with his creations. A good pet owner would feed his cat and vaccinate it against any diseases. A good pet owner would give his cat a nice warm cat bed to sleep in and would never torture his cat even if it did something very wrong. If God was more involved with his creations, then I think God would...

Invent an ultra-efficient source of energy.
Unify the world and treat every human fairly.
Discover a method to reduce poverty and hunger.
Invent a vaccine for AIDS and cancer.
Update the rules governing heaven and hell.
Find a way to extend the intelligence of mentally retarded children.
Update the scientific inaccuracies in the Bible or any other religious texts.
Find a way to make space travel more easier and cheaper for mankind.
Discover a method to regenerate scarred nerve tissue.
Discover a method to prolong human life.

What do you think our world would be like today if God decided to become more involved with his creations? Do you think God would be a good, peaceful leader such as Kemal Ataturk and Vladimir Putin? Or do you think he would be a bad leader such as Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin?

Of course, if God is real then he is probably ignoring us for a reason. But let's please keep in mind that this is a purely hypothentical question.

The best pet owner would give his "pet" absolute freedom. :)

This thread reminds me of Bruce Almighty. I have to agree with Omnis, as I was reading the list, I was thinking the same thing.......freewill!

Well if we are created in god's image and absolute power is said to corrupt men, then wouldn't it make since if god was more involved his absolute power would corrupt him? But since he "gave us" freewill then he does not currently have absolute power, therefore he is not corrupt.

I don't know if there is a god/godess/or multiple ones but they do exist I don't want them controlling my life and I don't want to be a slave to their wishes.
