gonna record a race, you decide what!

come on guys dont just look! this is an easy thread to answer!

Hey, I now have a way to record races in good quality to DVD-Rs, so i am gonna do a race, or series of races and try to make them seem like a tv race, like changing views, maybe adding in voices.
So you tell me what race(s) to do, and i will do it, it will all be a spec, so Nurburgring 24 hour is out of the question, unless it is a majority.
I am bent on making this as real as possible, so please don't recommend an Amuse R1 S2000 in a JGTC race.
I know there were a few famous race types you guys/gals like to see be it the runs with 787b race-cars and such, or old/new GT500 class cups, heck, some of you might want 60 different Tsukuba Circuit Superlaps! You tell me!
Maybe we could have a library of complete races, set up like this?​

I would probably go with the GTWC in the slowest car you can manage it - 787 would make for a good video, but not sure if they'd be the closest races. I'm rather partial to the BMW Mclaren.

No seriously i would say a road car race around the 'ring of some sort.

A DTM race on the 'Ring would be awesome. Just like a five lapper or something. My idea was the M-B 190E Evo, but that is probably too fast.

Or you could try something like the Spyker against other supercars. Those are fun races.

How many men have you got?


If all of my friends would be playing GT4, I'd organise a 24 hour race (sadly that's not possible on LAN I'm afraid, or is it?). Each team a 3 driver crew, and a teamboss. Somehow, you'd be able to speak throughout the race with 2 people, one who is a guy like for example Martin Brundle and the other one is the one with the racing experience.

While the race is on, you'd have one person who interviews drivers and the teambosses in the "pitlane" and record those voices and shw it in the top of the screen while you're still showing the race and such...


Basically, exactly like they broadcast Le Mans on TV, only with GT4 But it'll just my fanboy-ism and fantasy going crazy

Nice idea Bram!Really like how you think (even though nobody here is a Martin Brundle)But hey,its a good concept.I was thinking differently,what about organizing a LAN race (something like a race meeting or something like that)and then do an online voice chatting and record their voices and the race at the same time (makes it look more like each car has a feeling )I'm just giving my ideas here.But if it doesn't work out,never mind my idea,just stick with yours.As for a race,a GT500 race should be nice or even a Beetle/Lupo Cup race.It should be quite interesting (on an even playing field....)

I don't know if you've seen my race report with an Alfa against a Renault, but judging by that comment, you'd like it.

Anyway, I think it would be cool to do some races that are just track meet sort of things. Something with a few different classic road cars in a simple 10 lap race.
