i was wondering why nobody said that these were good cars to drift with in real life and in this game anywho here are some of my personal favs...

nissan silvia s13
" " s14
" " s15
numero uno!--->nissan 180sx type X [i know the game says 240 but isnt it really 180 since the type X was never realeased in the us?]

i love the type X!!!! you guys should try it out. i dont really like the hachi roku cuz its underpowered but i know a lot of ppl out there are going "yeah, well if there was mt.akina stage then the hachi roku rules cuz bhp doesnt apply!" well to crap with that hahaha. no offense but high power drifters are fun. hmm i wonder do you guys think the ae86 was a popular drifter even before initial-D? because the only reason the producer picked it was because that was his favorite car or something.

Slap some sim tires on and then tell me if the trueno is underpowered. And im pretty sure that you can only get about 440 some odd HP out of the 240 type X which is not much more than the 350 that the trueno puts out. Either way i love all those cars, and they are all great drift cars but not my favorite... Right now im loving the Altezza RS200.

We're not all stupid in here, you know.

My favorites right now include my RX-7's, anything from the Silvia series rules, and the Altezza is okay, improving on it

Both S13s
-these are my favorite, I can control the drift massively with only throttle, truly feel like takumi...

FC3S
-Still working on settings, I love this car in real life, I'm working on importing one...RHD!!!

Altezza
-Feels real balanced and stable easy beginer drifter...

Tom's Chaser x540 or whatnot
-Busted this out yester day, it drifts big and fun, nothing better than a full size drift sedan...

AE86
-Currently have 4(inc S.S.) one turbo, 3 N/A including S.S. and almost stock one at 165hp...These are tough to drift on tracks with big turns, those aren't what these were made for...

Anyone else want a GT-drift edition
--It could have small drift tracks like in japan and togues too
--a bunch more drift cars, like all the old school stuff(levins too)
--maybe a few appearence options, not too ricey though...

I think itd be cooler than GT-concept...what a bad concept...:irked:

The Savanna Mazda RX-7 Efini III. Mine is black with R-33 Mags. That's a good car for drift, my favorite, especially with simulation tires :D

There is also the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, damn fast car and easy to drift.

I like that idea! They should include it in GT4 instead of making a whole edition out of it. Include downhill tracks like the ones in BattleGear2.

1. I have but it doesnt come till the 25
2. The physics are a little arcadish ive heard
3. I like the realism of GT's graphics for replays and driving experiance, but i do like cell shaded its fun but not real...

haha i think on ign they said that the makers tuned the game engine more so it would be easier to turn and stuff to make it less difficult for the american ppl, meaning less realism. hahah thats kinda dumb. the thing i dont like about gt3 is that you can have a 360 bhp car, but it feels so slow!.. but in real life it feels so fast!

WRX 22B STi is my favourite. With stage 1 turbo you can drift well and it feels nice.

Almost all the japanese cars are great btw.
And if someone wants to know why the 86 is so famous, read the descripion in GT3

i can do some pretty awesome driftin in the mitsu evo v gsr jus fully tune it, take asm and tcs off and u can take it further than n e car. you can literally go sideways through a corner fully accelerating(counter steering obviously) and still come out the right way round. the only problem is it doesnt start drifting very easily even with asm and tcs on 0:rolleyes: so you'll have to give it a tap of the handbrake to get it goin:lol:

ps im not that good at drifting and this car is so easy 2 control whilst doing it. :D  :P

my fave drifters are as follows
1: skyline gt-r v-spec (thanks to nightmage for settings:tup: )
2: 200sx
3: mitsubishi evo V gsr
i discovered the sx just yesterday and i drifts beautifully try it the settings are:
all mods but stage 2 turbo instead of 4 ( should end up with 400hp with oil change)
asm & tcs to 0 and u r ready 2 go

My favorite car to drift in is the Camaro SS, just because it takes a lot of control to do it right. But that is my favorite car in the game period. It may not be the fastest, but to me it is the most fun to drive. It is very hard to control when it is completely sideway though, I find it very hard to straighten it out again without losing lots of speed.

go to arcade mode and try the RUF gt, select drift mode and go to ss route 5 in the wet... its a pretty good drift setup.

the car has a large amount of weight on the back wheels so its stable under drifting, but the wet road makes it drift nicely, whilst still being stable.

and all the rally cars drift really well in the rally races! :D heh

sometimes i just go to arcade, rally and pick the evo 7 and drift around smokey mountain... its fairly easy to go round that whole track without taking ur foot off the accelerator... or finger in my case! :D hehe

had a bit of a dilemma lately:rolleyes:

i am studying brickwork at college and i was happily sawing away at a breeze block(if u americans dont know what one is sorry cant explain) and suddenly it broke! the saw was on a down thrust and it was quickly followed by my hand:rolleyes: i basically punched the block and cut 2 fingers and a thumb open. after four plasters i realised that i wouldnt be able to drift in my 200sx for a while because the plasters were on my accel/brake fingers and i couldnt control how hard i pressed the accelerator but today i had 3 plasters off and im gonna do some driftin in a min:P

ps thats all i wanted 2 say really. no moral to this story!

left hand? i use that for steering anyway ive got mobility back in my thumb 👍 so i can drift again - HOORAY!! oh and another thing i thought i saw someone mention something about a vanquish not being any good for drifting as its too rear heavy and i got proof that it can so ill post it when i get a x-port;)
