Events Overview
This section will review our lobby standards, overall car restrictions, and the general schedule of events.
C.1- Schedule
Events will be scheduled on any Saturday when a Steward is available to facilitate and host. To see when the next event is scheduled, check #event-voting to see the date, time, and voting results.
Event lobbies are opened no later than 16:45UTC, 15 minutes before start of races which will be used for practice/qualifying. Races begin promptly at 17:00UTC. A “starting soon” message in-game means race will begin within the next 1 minute. If less than 2 competitors are on track at the start of the race, the event is canceled.
C.2- Voting
Voting will begin the Saturday 1 week prior to event day, and end 3 days prior on Wednesday, allowing time for participants to prepare. Vote options will cycle weekly among 4 themes:
Road Car Week - Section D
Endurance Week - Section E
Spec Car Week - Section F
Specials Week - Section G
All members may vote regardless of role or plans to participate in the event. Voters may also vote for multiple options. Voting ties will be decided by @Randomizer#5227 via RNG/coin toss.
C.3- Lobbies
The lobby settings for ALL events will be:
Preset Weather, 10x Speed Rate, Fastest First, Car Settings No Limit, Boost Off, Slipstream Real, Visible Damage On, Mechanical Damage Light, Tire Wear 5x, Fuel 5x, Refuel 12L/s, Initial Fuel Default, Grip Reduction Real, Nitrous Off, Shortcut Weak, Wall Collision Off, Correct Vehicle Off, Car Collision On, Pit Lane Off, Ghosting Off, Flag Rules On, Auto-Drive Prohibited.
If a lobby becomes full, priority is given to those who have participated previously, then new members. Public, non-members will be removed first if necessary.
C.4- Cars and Liveries
Generally, we will not use “VGT” cars for events. Otherwise, rules on car usage will be event specific. For events that mandate “Road Car,” this will be globally defined by any car categorized as #Road Car or #Professionally Tuned in-game, and does not have “Gr.3,” “Gr.B,” or “VGT” in the name or tagged #Vision Gran Turismo. In essence, no purpose-built race cars.
Liveries are fully up to drivers - so long as the livery meets the rules set in section A, all is fair.
C.5- Weather
A “forecast” for random weather on endurance events will be generated 3 days before the event, same time as when voting is completed on Wednesdays, via @Randomizer#5227, and posted in #event-voting .
C.6- Tracks
Most events will use pre-determined tracks and lengths, listed under each event’s details in sections D through G.
Some sprint events will take place at multiple random tracks, chosen from the list below:
*Red Bull Ring Full - 6laps
Willow Springs Big Willow - 6laps
Fuji International Speedway Short - 5laps
Nurburgring Nord - 1lap
Watkins Glen Short -7laps
Barcelona Nations - 6laps
Laguna Seca - 5laps
Autopolis Short - 6laps
Red Bull Ring short - 7laps
Willow Springs Streets - 7laps
Brands Hatch Indy - 9laps

Willow Springs Horse Thief - 8laps
Road Atlanta -6laps*
A track list will be generated 3 days before the event, same time as voting is completed on Wednesdays, via @Randomizer#5227, and posted in #event-voting .
C.7- Points
For sprint events, points are awarded at the end of each race and totaled at the end of the event to determine overall event placement. Points awarded are:
*Pole - 1 point
1st - 6 points
2nd - 5 points
3rd - 4 points
4th- 3 points
5th - 2 points
6th - 1 points
7th and lower - 0 points
DNS, DSQ - 0 points*
If the race finishes before a driver crosses the finish line, points will still be given for the last known position. If point totals result in a tie, lead will be given to the driver who attended the most races, then the driver with the greatest number of highest positions earned.
Now, for the fun stuff!!

All rules will be enforced by our Stewards. Consequences of violating any rules will be at their discretion.
Penalties given in-game do most of the work, but not all incidents are the same. Participants are expected to resolve incidents between each other on-track by returning positions, but please raise unresolved incidents with the lobby host/steward after the race, directly in-game, here in a post, or through the Discord. Egregious rule breaking will result in disqualification (DSQ) for the event.
