First to answer questions that will arise, that are "flame-based".
Yes, I do know that this is an older movie, but it came out on DVD and I bought it.
Yes, I have seen stuff about it, but no singular thread has been made just about it.


Anyways, I just purchased this movie with the intention of finally seeing the entire movie. I had seen parts before, and kind of pieced them together.

My first impressions were, "well, this will be pretty good, simply because Robin Williams is in it."
Afterthoughts, "It is a must buy dvd, I was astounded by how great of a plot there was behind this movie."

They released facts about Robin's character, Shawn, and Matt Damon's character, the boy genius, slowly throughout this ever-intwining storyline that kept my interests at a high rate. I didn't even leave for a bathroom break.

I would definitely give this two thumbs up. Great movie.

Yea, I liked it a lot too, even though it had Afflecktion in it. I must admit, for a first time script writing effort, it was a pretty good effort.

Ending perhaps could have been a bit better concluded though.

True, Mike. The ending did lack something, he could have met the girl, but then you really don't find out too much about Robin meeting his girl either, so it's kind of neat to see the "father- son" repeated role play.

The movie is something like 5 years old. You cant seriously expect a spoiler warning ofter that period of time.

Maybe not, but he is telling everyone that he just saw it, and we should too. That to me warrents a spoiler warning.

I have seen it before, but not all at one time, over a few weeks.

I just wanted to see it completely at one time, so that's why I purchased it. Cheers!

It's a great film. Very well acted by Damon and Williams. The supporting actors are weaker, but it's not really about them.

I loved the ending. Very optimistic.

I still don't understand the "How do you like them apples?" line though...

It's supposed to be a play on the other dude's intelligence level. I thought it was quite inventative.
