Thought I bought a Podium DD1 at a decent price and ended up with two pieces of cardboard instead. I guess I was nieve to think scammers were not in the niche market of sim wheel bases. Live and learn I guess. Stay vigilante out there!

Yep, already in the process. Kinda interesting how they worked it. They bought a shipping label that was registered to my address however the label had a different address on it. I was able to recover the so called "package" since I live in a small town. The postmaster somehow knew where the package was delivered instead of my home. I guess this is to show the item shipped and arrived via USPS tracking.

"Naive". You can put an umlaut on the "i" if you're feeling fancy.

Personally I wouldn't buy a $650 item from a seller with a feedback score of two, however the listing is clearly stated as being for the wheelbase, McLaren wheel, CSL pedals, and Next Level Racing rig, so if you received anything else just open a dispute case with eBay. That's what it's for.

Impressive he delivered on time though.

Yeah, I took a risk. Been watching the bay for months in hopes to find someone sleeping and often see others buy items from sellers with zero sales. The account was created in 2018 and I could not find any pictures online similar to the ones in the listing. In the end I'll get my money back and hopefully someone has one more lead to a criminal.

Just going to have to go back to drawing board and try to snipe a CSL DD instead. Currently on a TM TS-XW but I can't get over how others say DD is smooth which is what I am after.

For high value used items this is sensible, its worth doing a proper reverse image search to see if the photos posted have been used elsewhere.

Even just doing the search on a crop of the image you posted brings up a listing in Hamburg that cropped up on the 1st November.

Appreciate that. I'm not exactly tech savvy so I never knew how to do a reverse image search. I am certainly going to use that in the future. I've actually been buying and selling golf clubs on the Bay for a few years now and this was the first time I was ever scammed. Like I said, probably just going to go after a CSL DD from here out.

Speaking of, anyone have any experience going from TS-PC or TS-XW to the CSL DD and if it is worth it? I do like the XW but it feels kind of rubber bandish no matter my settings.
