Hey! I don’t want to sound like a grumpy old person here, but this thread kind of sounds like a wishlist thread.
Just a reminder that if there’s cars you’d like to see return, you should definitely vote for them/create a page for them in the suggestions section!
However, to keep this post on topic, I too, would love to see these cars return.
I don’t know if it’s that simple though. As said by Kaz, it’s not like they have access to any car at any time.
Many change ownership, and some owners may not be as willing to let a bunch of people near it to scan it for a game compared to other owners.
There’s also the matter of getting all the equipment necessary from place to place in order to do so, and how much time that takes.
Just think about the logistics of including each car in the game (especially some of these which are incredibly rare and hard to track down) and I’m sure you see how difficult it can be.
I feel as though we will begin to see many more of the classics return, though. As I said in another thread, I’m amazed the TS020 hasn’t returned.
Not only is it synonymous with Gran Turismo, it’s extremely significant in that it truly could have won Toyota the race roughly 20 years before they finally did this past summer.
For the time, and the massive competition they faced (From BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Nissan, etc) I honestly would say that it’s a much bigger accomplishment that the GT-One was as competitive as it was, versus the TS050 winning against a field of privateers.
