I've been meaning to get a GT2 type race up for a while now, and here it is! The winner of a weeks' trial will set the car, track, and whatever mods may be placed into the car.

For our first weeks' challenge, get out your 1997 Acura NSX and get to Laguna Seca.

No GS or AR codes! Wallriding is not recommended but is allowed. Just don't over-do it. I will not require video proof although it is recommended. Please be honest. If I think your time is way too fast, I will ask for proof. If I find you have cheated, I will ban you from the challenge for a maximum of 2 weeks.*
*Subject to change

Time Trial Details:
Car: 1997 Acura/Honda NSX (no Type S, this is the only RM Dealership car.)
Tuning: No restrictions
Race Mod: Yes
Track: Laguna Seca
Tires: Super Soft (recommended)

My time is a 1'21.819.

And I will record the winner of every weeks' challenge.
Remember, the weekly winner gets to choose next weeks' course, car, and modifications. Have fun out there and be fair!

Week 1: Maniak300
Week 2:

Which NSX '97? NSX '97? NSX Type S '97? NSX Type S Zero '97?

Could you give some multiplatform car (NTSC>PAL). Acura is only US car.

Just the Acura/Honda NSX 1997. That's the only model that gets a RM.
I will fix this.

I am not sure about car. I bought this one without S, my time https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/picture.php?albumid=1076&pictureid=13840

I will try, but there is no good drivers, who can fight with me.

My first time at 2nd lap: 1:18.045

Its really crappy. Few mistakes, not good setup

BTW, Type S and Type S Zero can be RaceModded too. Maybe in unfinished NTSC game they aren't.

I'm going for it!

Grand Valley East isn't what I could describe as my favorite track (I like the full course more), but I will give it a try.

EDIT: This may sound dumb, but do we have to do it in Arcade Mode? (Buy the car in GT mode disc, tune it, save the game, switch to Arcade disc, and do the time?)

Where's the new combo?

I didn't even bother to post my time, as I was almost 5 seconds off yours.

Well, I tried.

Track: Rome-Night
Tires: Super Soft

Best time so far is a 1:40.663. Pic to come. I suffered in lots of corners, especially on the chicane (3rd gear on the way in but opens up on the way out, isn't quite easy, and it's just not a blind corner becuse you come from the top of the hill after turn 4).

The only coincidence is that your A3 is the same color as mine.:D

But seriusly, I can't drop below the 1:40's and you beat my time by 6 seconds? There must be something terribly wrong with my driving style...

I gave this a try and kept tuning the A3 and lapping at Rome-Night till a frustration.

Fastest , clean lap was 1'34.270

Then a slightly better setup with 3 times wall tap 1'33.588 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

A low 1'33 is definatedly possible and with better setup even a 1'32 :scared:
