Gran Turismo 3 Commemorative Frame

Hi All..

I was just wondering if any of you were aware of this limited edition commemorative frame that was released for the release of GT3?

I got it as a prize for pre-ordering the game from a local retailer here in Australia.

Basically I was wondering just how many of these there are. Ive searched all the usual places.. google, google image, ebay etc and havent been able to find a mention of them anywhere..

Id be interested to hear any thoughts you may have on it..

TBH I havent even cracked it oped to check... I assume its an actual copy of the game though...

A place called Harvey Norman.. they are a big electrical/furniture retailer here in Australia... you know the type, everyone hates them and complains about their prices yet still shops there anyways...

Anywho they were close to where I worked at the time and I just pre ordered from there cause I was there at the time... probably a smart move in hindsight as I was probably their only pre order lol..

So a couple of months after the game was released I get this phone call from them telling me that Id won the pre order competition, not that I was aware that there even was one.. I got the above frame, a GT3 polo shirt and hat.

Since then the frame has been proudly mounted on the wall. I was looking at it last night and got to thinking about just how rare it is and if it had any real value now or in the future as a piece of gaming memoribila.

So here I am... This was the first GT forum I found and being a 'planet' site I figured you guys would know about it if anyone did...

BTW, Jordan, are you the one and the same that runs the planet GTA?

Hey, I'm a fellow Australian too, I used to shop at Harvey Norman as well. I had no clue about the competition but congratulations on winning it. The prize looks awesome. Im just content on playing my version though
