2 new cars: Corvette ZR-1 and Ford GT.

The driver of the Corvette seems to be wearing a yellow/black suit.
Maybe that means that you can customize your driver?

What's in the thing when they close the door at the end? Kind of looks like a wind tunnel...I guess?

it is an autoclave used to combine carbon fiber panels by the f1 teams and that is how they make their mono-cock chassis god knows what it will be used for in the game

Maybe I'm having a dumb moment, but what snow?

Toscana is a rally circuit and can be driven in snow/dirt (just like some of the rally tracks in GT4)
Look above the word "TOSCANA", you can see "SNOW/DIRT"
*finger crossed for falling snow*

Also, the clock on the top right corner is 4:56 . Would this be real time or in-game time?

I didn't even know that word before today. I just thought it was a wind tunnel because of the sound at the end. :embarrassed:

Oh, and it's monocoque. ;)

I am really sorry if this question has been answered before but how many cars will be on track during races??

I know but google chrome says otherwise

I think it just indicates what type of circuit it is.

It seems to be something inside, when the door is closing, you can see a reflexion

What we haven't seen, and unless I am mistaken am seeing, is black smoke coming from the Nascar car. He is obviously not on dirt, and tire smoke is not dark, sooooo, that leaves only one thing, fire.

Gran Turismo 5
Rated T for Teen.

I don't think they will do such a thing to move it beyond rated E. Having a fire in a racing and the driver visible will make it violent for kids to see. Just like Motorstorm You know how other parents will react to that.

I thought this area is where they cure the carbon fiber, and bond it together?

again, I might be having a dumb moment, but I don't think there were any tracks in GT4 that were playable in both dirt AND snow. I think the Snow/Dirt thing simply is the classification of the track, not neccessarily that it'll be both dirt and snow. That would, however, imply that they will be some snow courses in GT5. Maybe Swiss Alps will be snow...Like it kinda should be. and maybe will have Pike's Peak.

Yeah, I remember now, my bad. You're probably right about "Snow/Dirt" is just classification of that track.

the thing inside is probably a red bull f1 chassis being constructed. like i said before I have no idea what it might be used for in game

"Make your own F1 car" Mode???

No disappointment this year, mind blowing trailer, I've never seen graphics like those particularly at night, just beautiful, cannot wait to see it in action. Most importantly a release date, even if it is another 4.5 months, there's an end in sight.

Well...maybe if they're taking photos and stuff from an F1 can in CONSTRUCTION, maybe it's to better show one in DESTRUCTION in the game.

Its a pretty simple observation and probably doesnt mean much, but i noticed that the word 'premium' is not on the sarthe track selection anymore, but it was on the previous demo a couple days ago. PD certainly knows how to confuse... In any event, the new footage has blown me away this morning and thats even without any sound! Looking forward to more info after the closed doors session and 'expert' analysis on what's shown inside the room.

And i reckon its an autoclave as well, but we have seen a wind tunnel in action (that definately seemed animated). With the possible involvement of genius Newey shown along with autoclaves and wind tunnels, my only conclusion is that GT5 might have some kind of custom part development tool but this sounds a little too hardcore, even for GT. Its probably just impressive footage as part of Redbulls involvement. Its hard to think that simple gamers could really enhance the cars much in this regard, theres way too much science involved.

Either way, the new trailer is stunning, driving in twilight and night looks amazing and difficult (can we switch on high beams?) and the movement of the cars when they leave the ground looks very real so far.

And my final observation, the spots all over the start of the trailer definately suggests weather to me. It may be abstract but i say its there for a reason.

I think you guys are reading too much into that autoclave. It's real life footage and as many already pointed out, not very useful in a game. It's probably just there for the trailer.

Anyway, it's a pretty good symbol of how well Kaz keep any information about GT5 hidden from us

A lot of things were.
