Wait, that's a nascar sound??? failorama...
It sounds like a ****ing learjet! grrr where's the V8 rumble??

Race transmissions are noisy.
bumper cam uses the same sound as the cockpit view. at high speed trany whine, wind noise, and tire roar completly drown out the engine.

Can someone shoot the person that is presenting that demo in the face. whoever it is is doing it to piss us off. he keeps choosing the same track with the same cars and the same view. it is really annoying.

Good grief, has anyone payed attention? He choose Indy because there is a competition about to be held on it. What the 🤬 do you not understand about that?
Geez, calm down! Competition or not, at least I got bored to death. :P

From IGN GT5 Preview:

"There are two categories of vehicles in GT5 – Premium and Standard. The majority of the cars (more than 800) fall into the Standard category and are made up largely of the rides that have been included in all past GT games. But that doesn't mean they're simple copies. All are painstakingly modeled to take advantage of the PS3's graphics shader. They also sport physics-based damage modeling, and they'll show scratches, dust and dents collected during races. The Premium cars, of which there are more than 200, will have all those features plus fully rendered interiors and true damage modeling. That means panel separation and deformation – the ugly stuff."

Again they didn't say nothing about Cockpit view,

it seems that those journalists are hiding something, and don't want to clear things up. and it seems like they copy paste from other previews.

he only said "fully rendered interiors and true damage modeling." for premium

that means less rendered interiors and less damage modeling with cockpit view on the Standard cars.

These previews are really bad written with no details at all...

Quotes from Darin Gangi of Inside Sim racing TV fame

Drove GT5 yesterday at a VIP event that Mercedes Benz was holding. Drove the SLS at a few track. Tokyo, LeMans, Top Gear Test track and we got footage of it all too.. ALso tested it in 3d and it looks amazing ! Met Kazanori too.. Shaun and JEss got pictures with him.. I tried talking to him but I don't think he understood, or knew how to reply in English.

As I posted in another thread, this is how I am interpereting it all:

From the Gamespot and IGN Previews, I think it's safe to say that the difference in the premium and standard models is in the level of DETAIL on the interiors. There is no mention of a missing cockpit view. Expect all the cars to have cockpit view, but 800 of them to be a standard preset model.

When the main Live TV broadcast (G4TV) goes back to a segment called "Multiplayer Madness", the live internet feed will be interesting again.

It's all synced up with their live "hands-on" coverage of the biggest games at E3. When they were introing the NASCAR rookie points leader, you could hear the exciting TV intro music through the computer headphones (internet live stream).

People might be attempting to qualify for that event right now.

I tried to suggest it in the news' comments section but everyone's more content simply posting grief rather than reading... or turning on a TV and figuring it out.

Starwars: The Force Unleashed 2 is up now. Adam and Morgan are interviewing the producer.

Nice, a competition on the most boring track and view possible. Thankfully we get to see all of it instead of something else actually interesting!

Am I the only one stunned at the total confusion and lack of concrete information re this game after all this time?
Official GT site (Australia, anyway) has no new info, just the E3 trailer, the release date is still "TBC" for many regions, confusion re premium/standard cars, no official info if the CE will be available in said other regions, mis-translations, poor interviews by journalists, and all this after 5+ years at like the biggest gaming show!
All this from one of the world's best known gaming franchises?
